Abstract/Summary:
Objective:(1)To investigate the level of psychological resilience of intern nursing students, analyze the characteristics of potential categories of psychological resilience of intern nursing students and the distribution differences of demographic variables among different categories, and provide theoretical basis and basis for the formulation of psychological resilience intervention plan of intern nursing students.(2)To construct a peer support education program for nursing students based on social learning theory, and provide theoretical basis for nursing education managers to implement peer support education.(3)To explore the impact of peer support education program for nursing interns based on social learning theory on the psychological resilience and occupational benefit of undergraduate nursing interns, with a view to providing a reference basis for nursing teaching managers to implement peer support education.Methods:(1)Investigation and research: Using a convenient sampling method,we selected494 nursing interns who were rotating in a third class A hospital in Shanxi Province as the research subjects. We used a general data questionnaire and a psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC)to analyze the psychological resilience level and characteristics of different potential categories of nursing interns.(2)Program construction: under the guidance of social learning theory, through literature review and qualitative interviews, the peer support education program for nursing interns was initially formulated, and the Delphi method was used for two rounds of expert consultation, and finally the peer support education program for nursing interns was constructed.(3)Intervention study: A total of 36 undergraduate nursing interns from a third class A hospital in Shanxi Province were selected as research subjects to implement phased peer support education, including clinical practice skill support, emotional support, occupational cognitive enhancement, and information support. Before and after intervention, psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC)and occupational benefit scale were used to investigate nursing undergraduate interns.Results:(1)The survey results showed that the total score of psychological resilience of nursing interns was(60.40 ± 13.69)points,which was in the middle level as a whole.Based on the potential profile analysis, three potential categories of psychological resilience of nursing interns were obtained. The fragile weak group accounted for 54.11%,the moderate elastic group accounted for 40.26%,and the resilient self strengthening group accounted for 5.62%.The distribution of female, non only child, non shift leader, rural origin, and general preference for nursing among interns was higher in the low flexibility group than in the other two categories, while interns who voluntarily chose nursing and believed that school teachers and hospital nurses had a positive attitude towards nursing were mostly in the high psychological flexibility group.(2)This study systematically reviews relevant literature, combined with qualitative interviews, and guided by social learning theory, drew up the first draft of peer support education program for nursing students based on social learning theory, and invited 17 experts from Grade III Class A hospitals and medical colleges and universities from 7provinces/municipalities including Shanxi Province,Shaanxi Province,Beijing,Tianjin,Shenzhen,Anhui Province and Hainan Province to consult,The effective questionnaire recovery rates of the two rounds of expert consultation were 94.44% and 100%respectively,the expert authority coefficient was 0.86,and the average values assigned to the importance of each indicator in the two rounds of expert consultation were 4.06-4.79 points and 4.24-4.82 points respectively; Finally, the peer support education program for nursing students based on social learning theory was formed, including 5 first-level items,10 second-level items, and 31 third-level items, including 4 parts of clinical practice skill support, emotional support, information support, and occupational cognitive enhancement.(3)After the intervention, the total score of psychological resilience and scores of all dimensions of 36 undergraduate nursing interns were significantly higher than those before the intervention(P<0.05);The total score of occupational benefit, positive occupational perception, good nurse-patient relationship,self-growth and family and friend identification were higher than those before the intervention, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:(1)This study applied the potential profile to analyze the potential categories of psychological resilience of nursing interns. The study found that the psychological resilience of nursing interns was mostly in the middle and lower levels, and the characteristics of different types of psychological resilience were also different.(2)This study is based on social learning theory to construct peer support education program for nursing students, which is scientific, feasible and practical, and can provide reference for clinical nursing education managers to implement peer support education program.(3)Close peer support education is helpful to improve the psychological resilience of undergraduate nursing interns, enhance their sense of professional benefits, help them better adapt to clinical work, and cultivate positive professional values.
