Abstract/Summary:
Objective: The clinical efficacy and safety of Sheng Xian Gu Shen granules in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence with spleen and kidney deficiency were investigated to provide clinical treatment with significant efficacy and ease to promote and apply, and to summarize the clinical experience. Methods: In this study,Seventy-two elderly subjects with stress urinary incontinence(spleen and kidney deficiency)who met the diagnostic criteria of Chinese and Western medicine were included.Using the random number table method, the 72 subjects were randomly divided into two groups: 36 cases in the treatment group(ascending trapped kidney granules)and 36 cases in the control group(Solifenacin Succinate Tablets),which were treated for 3 weeks. The 1 h urine pad test,ICI-Q-SF scale scores, bladder residual urine volume, and the quantification scale of Chinese medicine evidence points were evaluated in both groups before and after the treatment, and the SPSS 26.0 statistical software is applied to process and analyze the data to assess the clinical efficacy of Sheng Xian Gu Shen granules in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence(syndrome of spleen and kidney deficiency).Results:1.A total of 72 patients were included,3 cases fell off in the treatment group,33 effective cases, with a completion ratio of 91.67%;2 cases fell off in the control group,34 effective cases, with a completion ratio of 94.44%,and a total completion ratio of93.06%.2.The gender, age, and disease duration elements were analyzed and compared between the two groups of subjects before treatment, and the comparison was performed when the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The amount of urine leakage of the 1 h urine pad test, the ICI-Q-SF scale score, and compared with those before treatment, the amount of residual bladder urine of the subjects in both groups improved after the course of treatment(P<0.05),and the decreasing degree in each index was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05),while the total effective rate of the subjects in both groups was not statistically significantly different at the end of the course of treatment(P>0.05).3.Analysis of the quantitative table of TCM symptoms indicated that in terms of symptoms such as soreness and weakness of the waist and knees, coldness of the limbs, dizziness and tinnitus, shortness of breath, fatigue, loss of appetite, and loose stools, compare with the control group, the treatment group have significantly higher efficiency in improving TCM symptoms(P<0.05).4.Clinical safety observation index showed that the subjects in both groups showed no adverse reactions during and after the treatment. Conclusion: Sheng Xian Gu Shen granules can effectively improve the TCM symptoms of elderly patients with spleen-kidney deficiency evidence of stress urinary incontinence, and improve the life quality of patients, bladder residual urine volume, and leakage volume with no adverse reactions, indicating that the formula is safe and worthy of promotion and application by clinicians.
