Nourishing Kidney And Spleen Decoction In The Treatment Of Elderly Patients With Type2Diabetes Mellitus (Qi Yin Liang Xu,Pi Shen Bu Zu Zheng) Clinical Research

Purpose: In order to investigate kidney and invigorating spleen to elderly patients withtype2diabetes mellitus (Qi and yin deficiency, spleen kidney deficiency syndrome)prevention.Method: A total of60patients, were eligible for inclusion criteria, were randomlydivided into treatment group and control group.The two group included30patients, weretreated with diet control and exercise therapy, and strengthen the education of diabetes.Treatment group was treated with nourishing kidney and invigorating spleen, control groupwas treated with thirst Yin capsule,1for4weeks, continuous observation of3courses.Determination and clinical symptoms were observed before and after the treatment,the fasting blood glucose, postprandial2hour blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, bloodlipid (TC, TG, HDL-C, LDL-C).Result: The kidney and invigorating spleen after treatment, fasting blood glucose,postprandial2hour blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin before and after treatmentwith P<0.01, compared with the control group P<0.01; total cholesterol, triglyceridescompared with those before treatment P<0.01, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, lowdensity lipoprotein cholesterol compared with those before treatment P<0.05, triglyceride,low density lipoprotein cholesterol compared with the control group P<0.05. From theanalysis of the overall clinical efficacy, nourishing the kidney and invigorating spleen and thetotal effective rate was83.33%, among them,9cases were cured (30%), effective in16cases(53.33%), invalid5cases (16.67%).Conclusion: The clinical symptoms and physical findings, nourishing the kidney andInvigorating Spleen Yin capsule were better than thirst, no adverse reactions and allergicphenomenon, nourishing the kidney and invigorating spleen and reliable safety, is thetreatment of elderly patients with type2diabetes of deficiency of Qi and Yin, deficiency ofspleen and kidney syndrome effective prescription, deserves further study.
