Clinical Observation Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nebulization Therapy Combined With Pranoprofen Eye Drops In The Treatment Of Lipid Deficiency Dry Eye

Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization therapy combined with Pranoprofen eye drops in treating IDDE.Methods: 99 patients(198 eyes)with IDDE who met the research criteria were selected as subjects and randomly divided into three groups,with 33 people(66 eyes)in each group.The treatment group received Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization combined with Pranoprofen eye drops.Control group 1 received Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization.Control group 2 received Pranoprofen eye drops.The treatment course for all three groups was 2 weeks.SIT,FBUT,FL,meibomian gland function score,OSDI scale score,TCM related syndrome scores,BCVA,IOP and other indicators were observed and recorded before and after one treatment course.The collected data were statistically analyzed to evaluate the clinical efficacy of three therapeutic approaches.Results:1.There were no statistically significant differences(P>0.05)in general information(gender and age)and various indicators(SIT,FBUT,FL,meibomian gland function score,OSDI score,TCM related syndrome scores,BCVA,and IOP)among the three groups of patients before treatment,indicating comparability.2.Indicators after treatment:(1)The efficacy observation indicators: After treatment,SIT,FBUT,FL scores,meibomian gland function score,OSDI score and TCM related syndrome scores of patients in all three groups showed improvement compared with before treatment within the groups,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the SIT score,FBUT score,FL scores,meibomian gland function score,OSDI score and TCM related syndrome scores of each group were compared between groups.Post-treatment,group comparisons were made for SIT,FBUT,FL score,meibomian gland function score,OSDI score,and TCM related syndrome scores.The results indicated that the treatment group exhibited statistically significant improvement in SIT,FBUT,meibomian gland function score,and OSDI score compared to both control groups(P<0.05).Control group 1showed superior outcomes for SIT,FBUT,meibomian gland function score,and OSDI score compared to control group 2(P<0.05).No significant difference was observed in FL score between the two control groups(P>0.05),while the treatment group demonstrated significantly better performance than both control groups(P<0.05).TCM related syndrome scores showed no significant difference between the treatment group and control group 1(P>0.05),but both of them had significantly better outcomes than control group 2(P<0.05).(2)Safety indicators: After treatment,the BCVA and IOP of the three groups of patients were compared within each group before and after treatment,and compared between the groups after treatment,but there was no significant change and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.Overall effective rate: The overall effective rates of the three groups were 90.00%,86.67%,and 80.65%,respectively.The treatment group was superior to the two control groups,and control group 1 was superior to control group 2.The differences were statistically significant(P< 0.05).Conclusion:1.The combination of Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization therapy with Pranoprofen eye drops,Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization therapy,and Pranoprofen eye drops are all clinically effective for patients with IDDE.The three therapeutic approaches are effective in enhancing SIT,prolonging FBUT,improving FL,enhancing meibomian gland function,decreasing OSDI scores,and reducing TCM related syndrome scores in patients with IDDE.2.For patients with IDDE,among three therapeutic approaches,the therapeutic effect of Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization therapy was better than that of Pranoprofen eye drops,while the combination therapy group had the best therapeutic effect in terms of SIT,FBUT,meibomian gland function,and OSDI.In terms of FL,the therapeutic effect of Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization therapy was similar to that of Pranoprofen eye drops,while the combination therapy group had the best therapeutic effect.In terms of TCM-related syndrome score,the therapeutic effect of the combination therapy group was similar to that of Qingxuan Runmu Decoction ultrasonic nebulization therapy,and both were better than Pranoprofen eye drops.
