| Objective: The purpose of this study is to provide data guidance and reference for the treatment of depression and the development of new drugs and prescriptions and clinical treatment.Materials and methods: The characteristics of medical cases and the development of theories of yu evidence from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the Republic of China were systematically investigated by using traditional literature. We used the "Medical Cases" section of the "Medical Treatises and Medical Discourses" module of the Chinese Medical Dictionary(5th edition)as a source of material to screen medical cases of emotional and mental illnesses that were identified as yu evidence and to establish a database. We standardized the names of herbal medicines, the four gases and five tastes of herbal medicines, and their meridians,as well as the nature, location, symptoms, and types of evidence in the medical cases, optimized the medical case database, and analyzed the characteristics of the evidence of depression. The functions of frequency statistics, association rule analysis, cluster analysis, and complex network analysis in the ancient and modern medical case cloud platform are used to mine and analyze the group prescriptions of each evidence type in the database. Results:The first part of the study of the Chinese medical canon for the evidence of depression showed that a total of 52 medical cases were reviewed in the Chinese Medical Codex related to depression in affective disorders,of which24 were directly related to depression alone and 28 were indirectly related, with a total of 374 cases of depression.43 cases were excluded according to the exclusion criteria, and finally 331 cases were included in the database.331 cases were mainly related to more than 30 diseases such as depression, blood, palpitation, and palpitation. The medical cases were statistically analyzed for their pathogenic characteristics, factors, nature, location, symptoms and patterns, and it was found that the occurrence of this disease is mainly related to "single emotion anger, compound emotion out of grief(worry)thought anger, grief(worry)thought, thought anger and grief(worry)anger",and the development of the disease is influenced by internal and external factors such as personality, society, physical constitution and overwork. The development of the disease is influenced by internal and external factors such as personality, society, physique, and overwork, etc. The disease mainly involves the liver, spleen, stomach and lung, and the nature of the disease is mostly actual, hot and deficient;the common main symptoms involve dullness, anger, depression, irritability, abdominal distension, vomiting, phlegm, too much breath, grief, insomnia, dysthymia, lazy speech, etc.;the evidence types include phlegm and qi stagnation,qi stagnation and fire, yin and blood deficiency, heart and spleen deficiency, liver and qi stagnation,qi stagnation and blood stasis, and other evidence types. The second part of the data on the pattern of medication for each type of evidence of depression showed six results(1)the top 8 frequently used herbal medicines for the depression type of liver qi were Poria,Radix Aromaticus,Radix Angelicae Sinensis,Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhiza Glabra,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Radix Bupleuri,Radix Euphrasiae Sinensis, and Radix Fructus Fructus;the four qi of herbal medicines were mainly warm, flat and slightly cold, and the five tastes were mainly pungent, bitter and sweet, mainly attributed to the liver meridian and spleen meridian;the analysis of association rules showed that the associations of Radix Bupleuri-Adangelicae Sinensis,Radix Angelicae Sinensis Poria and Angelica-Peony were highly correlated;core cluster analysis and complex network analysis yielded three core group formulas.(2)The commonly used herbal medicines for qi-depression and fire type of depression are Gardenia jasminoides,Peony bark,White peony,Poria,Radix et Rhizoma aromaticum,Chai Hu,Yu Jin,and Angelica sinensis;the four qi of the herbal medicines are mainly cold and slightly cold, the five tastes are mainly bitter and slightly bitter, the normalizing meridians are mainly liver meridians, lung meridians and spleen meridians, and the effects are mainly cooling the blood and detoxifying the toxins and relieving the liver and depression. The association rule analysis showed that the association degree of Mudanpi-Gardenia,Gardenia-incense and Poria-Gardenia was high;core cluster analysis and complex network analysis obtained three core group formulas.(3)Commonly used herbs for phlegm and qi stagnation type of depression are Fa Xian Xia,Fu Ling,Chen Pi,Ginger,Gua Pou,Yu Jin,Citrus aurantium, and roasted licorice;the four qi of the herbs are mainly warm, flat and slightly cold, the five tastes are mainly pungent and bitter, the normalizing meridians are mainly spleen, stomach and liver meridians, and the effects are mainly drying dampness, resolving phlegm, and regulating qi to broaden the middle. The association rule analysis showed that the association degree of Fa Hanxia-Porling,Chen Pi-Hanxia and Hovenia-Hanxia was high;core cluster analysis and complex network analysis obtained three core group formulas.(4)The commonly used herbs for yin-blood deficiency type of depression are Dihuang,Bai Shao, roasted licorice,Angelica,Agaricus,Fu Shen,Tian Men Dong, and Mai Dong;the four qi of the herbs are mainly flat and slightly cold, the five tastes are mainly pungent, bitter and sweet, the normalizing meridians are mainly heart, liver and lung meridians, and the efficacy is mainly to clear heat and nourish blood, and nourish yin and generate body fluid. The association rule analysis showed that the association degree of Angelica-Dihuang,Agaricus-Dihuang and Bai Shao-Tianmen Dong was high;core cluster analysis and complex network analysis obtained three core group formulas.(5)The commonly used herbs for the heart and spleen deficiency type of depression were Angelica sinensis,Fu Shen, roasted licorice,Yuan Zhi,Ginseng, sour jujube seed,Atractylodes macrocephala, and longan flesh;the four qi of the herbs were mainly flat and slightly cold, the five tastes were mainly sweet, pungent and bitter, the normalizing meridians were mainly the spleen and heart meridians, and the effects were mainly to calm the mind, nourish blood, and calm the heart. The association rule analysis showed that the association degree of Angelica sinensis-Boiled licorice,Sour jujube seed-Angelica sinensis and White peony-Tianmen dong was high;core cluster analysis and complex network analysis obtained three core group formulas.(6)The commonly used herbal medicines for qi stagnation and blood stasis type of depression were peach kernel, angelica, peony bark, yujin, aromatic herb, white peony and cyperus;the four qi of the herbal medicines were mainly warm, flat and slightly cold, the five tastes were mainly pungent and bitter, the normalizing meridians were mainly liver meridians and heart meridians, and the efficacy was mainly to activate blood and eliminate blood stasis, regulate qi and broaden the middle.Association rule analysis showed high association of Yujin-Mudanpi,Yujin-Peach kernel, and Peach kernel-Angkura;core cluster analysis and complex network analysis obtained three core group formulas.Conclusions:1.The pathogenic factors of depression are directly related to social factors, cultural factors, physical constitution, personality factors and the deficiency of the internal organs.2.Combining the evidence type, location and nature of the disease and the corresponding characteristics of medication,it is suggested that the pathological mechanism of depression is a mixture of deficiency, actuality, cold and heat, and the evidence type is mainly heat, deficiency and actuality, and the pathological mechanism is characterized by the damage or obstruction of the operation of qi,blood, yin and yang of the five organs,so the use of Chinese herbs mostly has the effects of draining the liver, moving qi,cooling blood, clearing heat and resolving phlegm. Therefore, the four qi and five flavors are mainly cold, sweet, bitter and pungent.3.The formulae for high-frequency evidence are based on draining liver qi and relieving depression, and supplemented with qi-relieving and broadening products to prevent liver wood from taking advantage of its earth position;for qi-depression and fire-depression,the formulae are based on draining liver and relieving depression, clearing heat and cooling blood, and supplemented with blood-supplementing products to nourish liver blood and hide phase fire;for phlegm-depression,the formulae are based on draining qi and resolving phlegm, and supplemented with light percolating and water-relieving drugs to give a way out for phlegm-dampness;for yin-blood deficiency, the formulae are based on nourishing yin and blood. The formulae for depression with deficiency of Yin and Blood are based on nourishing Yin,generating fluid and tonifying Blood, supplemented with heat-clearing and blood-activating products to bring out the effect of tonicity without stagnation;the formulae for depression with deficiency of Heart and Spleen are based on tonifying Qi and Blood of Heart and Spleen, often combined with products for tonifying Kidney Essence to promote the latter with the first Heaven;the formulae for depression with stagnation of Qi and Blood stasis are based on moving Qi and activating Blood, supplemented with heat-clearing products to clear the fire of stagnation.4.Based on the results of statistical and data mining and analysis of medication patterns,we systematically constructed a system of clinical medication patterns for depressive disorders from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the Republic of China, which provides preliminary data guidance and reference for the development of new drugs and prescriptions for clinical depressive disorders or depression. |
