Clinical Observation On Treating Intercostal Neuralgia Of Liver Depression And Qi Stagnation With Tiaoqi Tongren Acupuncture

Objective of the studyBy observing the clinical efficacy of the “ Tongren Tiaoqi ” acupuncture method(treatment group)and the conventional acupuncture method(control group)in the treatment of intercostal neuralgia caused by liver depression and qi stagnation,and analyzing the differences between the two,as the thesis aims to objectively analyze the clinical efficacy of the “Tongren Tiaoqi” acupuncture method in the treatment of intercostal neuralgia caused by liver depression and qi stagnation,and to provide a new and more effective way for acupuncture to treat this disease.Research methodsSixty patients with intercostal neuralgia caused by liver depression and qi stagnation treated at the special needs acupuncture clinic of the First Affiliated Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2021 to January 2022 were collected,and the 60 patients were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method.In both groups,the patients were treated with acupuncture for 30 minutes,once a day,6 times a week,1 week as a course of treatment,and 2consecutive courses of treatment.Patients in both groups were scored before and after 2courses of treatment using the Visual analogue scale(VAS),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI),Mc Gill pain questionnaire Short-Form(SF-MPQ)and Traditional Chinese Medicine Symptom Score Scale.Results of the study1.There was no statistical difference in age,gender and duration of disease between the two groups(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference in VAS score,PSQI score,SF-MPQ score,total score of TCM symptom scale and gynecomastia score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).2.There were statistical differences in the VAS score,PSQI score,SF-MPQ score,TCM syndrome scale total score and gynecomastia score before and after treatment between the two groups(P < 0.05),and the scores after treatment were lower than those before treatment,indicating the clinical efficacy of the treatment methods in both groups.3.There were statistical differences in the comparison of VAS score,SF-MPQ score,total score of TCM syndrome scale and gynecomastia score between the two groups after treatment(P < 0.05),and the score of the control group was lower than that of the observation group,indicating that the efficacy of the control group was better than that of the observation group.There was a statistical difference(P < 0.05)between the two groups of patients in comparing the scores of the emotional item in the Pain Rating Index(PRI)of the SF-MPQ score,indicating that the “ Tongren Tiaoqi ” acupuncture method was better than the conventional acupuncture method in regulating the emotions of patients with intercostal neuralgia caused by liver depression and qi stagnation.There was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of PSQI scores after treatment,but there was a statistical difference in the difference between the scores of the two groups before and after the treatment,and the mean difference in the control group was greater than that in the observation group,indicating that the “Tongren Tiaoqi” acupuncture method is better than the conventional acupuncture method in improving sleep.4.After treatment,the total effective rate of the two groups was 93.33%,and the total effective rate of the control group was 86.67%,and there was a statistical difference between the two groups(P < 0.05),and the rank mean value of the control group was lower than that of the observation group,indicating that the clinical efficacy of the control group was better than that of the observation group.Study conclusion1.Both the “Tongren Tiaoqi” acupuncture method and the conventional acupuncture method are clinically effective for intercostal neuralgia of the liver depression and qi stagnation.2.The overall clinical efficacy of the “Tongren Tiaoqi” acupuncture method was better than that of the conventional acupuncture method in the treatment of intercostal neuralgia caused by liver depression and qi stagnation,and was superior to the conventional acupuncture method in terms of pain relief,improvement of sleep and improvement of the patient’s mood.
