| Objective:The objective of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of Percutaneous Vertebral Plasty(PVP)in treating osteoporotic thoracic vertebral fracture with intercostal neuralgia.and further investigate the mechanism of action of Fuyuanhuoxue decoction combined with PVP on the improvement of thoracic fracture with intercostal neuralgia.An assessment of the effectiveness and superiority of Fuyuan Huoxue Decoction,in conjunction with PVP,in treating thoracic vertebra fracture accompanied byintercostal neuralgia is conducted,so as to find effective methods to relieve intercostal neuralgia and apply them in clinic.Methods:Patients with osteoporotic thoracic fracture with intercostal neuralgia who were treated in the First Department of Spine,Jiangxi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2021 to May 2022 were selected.In this study,30 patients with osteoporotic thoracic fracture with intercostal neuralgia were collected and randomly divided into two experimental groups with 15 patients in each group.During the experiment,2 cases were shed and 2 cases were eliminated.In the observation group,2 cases were not followed up regularly and felt uncomfortable with oral Chinese medicine.In the control group,2 cases were not followed up regularly or accidentally took related painkillers orally.Finally,13 cases in the observation group and 13 cases in the control group were collected,a total of 26 cases were collected.The subjects in the control group received PVP and routine anti-osteoporosis drug treatment after surgery,and the observation group was combined with Fuyuan Huoxue Decoction on the basis of the treatment of the control group.VAS score,ODI score and BackPei score before surgery,7 days after surgery,1 month and 3 months after surgery were compared and recorded.The changes of C-RP and ESR indexes before and after surgery were compared.Results: The gender,age and course of disease of the two groups were compared before and after(P>0.05).Comparison of preoperative VAS pain assessment between two groups[8.08±1.32]VS[8.00±1.47](p>0.05);No noteworthy distinction in the amelioration of pain was revealed by the outcomes.The VAS pain ratings of the two cohorts at 7 days,1 month and 3 months post-surgery were[6.02±1.04] and [5.31±0.63],respectively,with a p-value of less than0.05.[4.00±0.71]VS[2.69±0.75] points(p<0.05);[1.92±0.64]VS[0.77±0.45] points(p<0.05).It indicated that combined Fuyuan Huoxue decoction had more obvious effect on pain improvement than PVP alone.The comparison of preoperative ODI pain assessment between the two groups [38.23±2.39]VS[39.15±1.57](p > 0.05)indicated that No noteworthy distinction was observed in the enhancement of dysfunction between the two sets.,which was comparable.The comparison of ODI pain assessment in 7 days,1 month and 3 months after surgery was[32.38±1.50]VS[27.31±2.14] points(p<0.05).[25.54 ±1.90] VS[18.92±1.32] points(p<0.05),[20.23 ± 2.74]VS[12.15± 2.27] points(p<0.05).It indicated that Fuyuan Huoxue decoction combined with PVP had more obvious effect on improving activity function than PVP alone.The comparison of preoperative BackPei assessment between the two groups [4.65±0.69] VS [4.15±0.69](p>0.05)indicated that there was no significant difference in the improvement of back pain and body posture between the two groups,which was comparable.Comparison of BackPei assessment between two groups [2.62±0.51]VS[1.00±0.58](p<0.05).It shows that combined Fuyuan Huoxue decoction has better effect on improving back pain and body posture.Comparison of preoperative blood C-RP assessment between two groups[16.62±2.02]VS[17.46±1.66](p>0.05),ESR [24.62±2.53] VS[24.92±1.50](p>0.05);No significant disparity between the two groups in terms of augmenting blood indexes was revealed by these findings.which was comparable.The comparison of C-RP and ESR ratings between the two groups was [8.42±0.93]VS[4.16±0.82](p<0.05).[16.54±1.56]VS[12.92±0.76](p<0.05).It shows that combined Fuyuan Huoxue Decoction has better effect on reducing inflammatory substances and controlling blood items.Conclusion: For the treatment of patients with osteoporotic thoracic fracture accompanied by intercostal neuralgia,PVP combined with Fuyuan Huoxuet decoction can better relieve the pain of intercostal nerve,reduce inflammatory substances in the body,improve the range of motion of thoracic vertebra and adjust body posture. |
