Clinical Observation On Clinical Efficacy Of Electronic Twist-needle Instrument Combined With Electroacupuncture In Treatment Of Urinary Incontinence After Stroke

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of electronic twist-needle instrument combined with electroacupuncture in the treatment of urinary incontinence after stroke and explore the role of electronic twist-needle instrument in the treatment of the disease.Methods:Sixty subjects were screened out and randomly divided into control group(n=30)and treatment group(n=30).The acupoints of the two groups were the same.On the basis of conventional acupuncture for the treatment of stroke,acupoints in the foot sensorimotor area(both sides),Shenshu(BL 23),Hui yan g(BL35),Zhongji(CV3),Sany inj ia o(SP 6),Gua nyua n(RN4),Pangguangshu(BL28)and Fuliu(KI7)were selected.Shenshu(BL 23)and Huiyang(BL35)were connected with electroacupuncture apparatus,while the treatment group was treated with electronic twist-needle instrument plus electroacupuncture.The difference of two groups lied in twisting needles or without in the foot sensorimotor area.The degree of urinary incontinence was evaluated,the scores of Scale of Urinary Incontinence Degree developed by t h e A m e r i c a n G e r i a t r i c S o c i e t y a n d I n t e r n a t i o n a l C o n s u l t a t i o n o n Incont inen ce Questio nn aire-Sh ort Form(ICI-Q-SF)formulat ed by the International Advisory Committee on Urinary Incontinence were observed before and after treatment,and the efficacy of the two groups was evaluated.Results:1.Before treatment,age,gender,course of disease,type of stroke and hemiplegia between the two groups showed no significant differences(P>0.05),and they were comparable.2.The score of each item showed significant intra-group difference,and the scores after treatment were higher than those before treatment(P<0.01).The treatment group had better score of each item when compared with that of the control group(P<0.05)3.After treatment,nimodipine method was used to evaluate the total effective rate of two groups.The total effective rate of the electronic twist-needle instrument combined with electroacupuncture was 93.33%,and83.33% by ordinary acupuncture combined with electroacupuncture.There was statistically significant difference in the clinical efficacy between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusions1.Electronic twist-needle instrument combined with electroacupuncture and ordinary acupuncture combined with electroacupuncture both can effectively improve the symptoms of urinary incontinence after stroke,and are beneficial to improve the quality of life of stroke patients.2.Observation results of curative effect showed that electronic twistneedle instrument combined with electroacupuncture has significantly better overall curative effect than ordinary acupuncture combined with electroacupuncture.Therefore,the clinical curative effect of former therapy is worthy of fully affirmation.
