Objective:To compare the short-term efficacy of CT-guided injection of medical ozone and intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods:A analysis was performed on 86 patients with knee oa diagnosed and treated in our hospital from March 2021 to January 2022,including 23 males and 61 females. The patients were divided into ozone group and sodium hyaluronate group. In the ozone group,43 patients received CT-guided injection of 30 ml of medical ozone(35μg/ml)at an interval of 3 weeks.Forty-three patients in the sodium hyaluronate group were given injection of sodium hyaluronate 2.5 ml once a week for four weeks.Visual analogue scale(VAS)was used as the standard before treatment,1week and 4 weeks after treatment.Lysholm knee function score,WOMAC score and clinical efficacy were the criteria for four weeks after treatment and compare the short-term efficacy of the two treatments. Results:One week after treatment,VAS score of ozone group was significantly decreased, while that of sodium hyaluronate group was not significantly decreased(P <0.05).At4 weeks after treatment,VAS scores in both treatment groups were lower than before treatment, and the decrease in ozone group was more significant, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Lysholm score in both treatment groups increased compared with before treatment, and the increase in ozone group was more obvious, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The WOMAC score in both treatment groups decreased, and the decrease in ozone group was more obvious, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in total clinical response rate between the two treatment groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:From the perspective of short-term efficacy, compared with sodium hyaluronate,CT-guided injection of medical ozone can show a better therapeutic effect in the short term, significantly relieve pain, and also have a good performance in restoring joint function, thus improving the quality of life.Therefore,CT-guided ozone therapy has a good development prospect.
