Objectives:By comparing the difference in clinical efficacy and improvement of laboratory indicators of electroacupuncture combined with Zhao’s thunder-fire moxibustion and celecoxib capsules in the treatment of cold-dampness obstruction type rheumatoid arthritis,in order to provide more ideas and methods for safety and longer-lasting efficacy. Methods:A total of 64 cases of rheumatoid arthritis patients with cold-dampness obstruction type who were treated in the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion and the Department of Rheumatism and Endocrinology of the Second People’s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2021 to November 2021 were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups.Group.Under the basic drug treatment, the observation group was given electroacupuncture combined with Zhao’s thunder-fire moxibustion. The acupoint group was GV14-GB34,BL23-ST36,LI4-SJ5,EX-UE9,in which electroacupuncture was given for 30 minutes and thunder-fire moxibustion for 5 minutes at each point.,each time the two are combined, once every other day,a total of 30 days;the control group was given oral celecoxib capsules,1 capsule each time, twice a day,for a total of 30 days. The changes of TCM symptom score, disease activity score, general health score, and ESR in the two groups before and after treatment were observed, and the curative effect was evaluated, and the curative effect was evaluated again during the follow-up.All statistical analysis of data was processed by SPSS25.0 software, and P<0.05 was regarded as having statistical difference.Results:1.Before treatment, there were no significant differences between the two groups in baseline data,TCM symptom score single item and total score, disease activity score, general health score, and ESR(P>0.05),which were comparable.2.After treatment, individual comparison of TCM symptom scores: within the group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);between the groups, the observation group was better than the control group in improving joint coldness, unfavorable flexion and extension, aversion to wind-cold,and cold limbs, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);there was no significant difference in improving joint pain, joint swelling, joint tenderness, morning stiffness, waist and knee soreness(P>0.05)3.After treatment, comparison of the total score of TCM symptom scores: within the group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);between the groups, the observation group was better than the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).4.After treatment, comparison of general health score: within-group comparison, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);between-group comparison, the observation group was better than the control group, the difference was statistically significan(P<0.05).5.After treatment, comparison of ESR: Within the group comparison, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);between the groups, there was no significant difference between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).6.After treatment, comparison of disease activity score: within the group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);between the groups, there was no significant difference between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).7.Clinical efficacy evaluation: After the course of treatment, the total effective rate of the observation group was 86.21%;the total effective rate of the control group was 83.87%,and the difference was not statistically significant t(P>0.05).During the follow-up period, the total effective rate of the observation group was 79.31%;the total effective rate of the control group was 67.74%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:1.Electroacupuncture combined with Zhao’s thunder-fire moxibustion and oral celecoxib capsules can effectively treat rheumatoid arthritis of cold-damp obstruction type, and reduce TCM symptom scores, generall health score, disease activity score and ESR.2.The therapeutic effects of electroacupuncture combined with Zhao’s thunder-fire moxibustion and oral celecoxib capsules were roughly equivalent after treatment. The former is better than the latter in improving the overall symptoms and general health score of the disease, and it has more advantages in improving joint coldness, unfavorable flexion and extension, aversion to wind-cold,and cold limbs.During the follow-up period, electroacupuncture combined with Zhao’s thunder-fire moxibustion was more effective and durable, and had good clinical value.
