| Background:According to the latest World Health Organization data,estimated 265,000 people die each year from fires.Millions of people who have survived might have to lived with life-long disabilities leading to mental disorders,social discrimination and physical and mental suffering.Therefore,it is highly important to make sure that such a large group of people to achieve the perfect state of physical,mental and social happiness.This requires doctors not only to treat patients with trauma,but also to treat trauma as a therapeutic goal.Objective:Based on the demographic characteristics of patients with moderate,severe and especially severe burns admitted to the first affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University,this study carried out its related mental health assessment,such as depression,anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.As a result,the research might carried out statistical analysis to explore the related factors that caused the symptoms of appeal.Hopefully,those relevant information can be used by some medical staff to provide useful experience and theoretical basis for the diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders in burn patients.Methods:From June 2015 to May 2020,the patients who met the selected topic were selected as the research objects,and the general situation of the front page of the patients’ medical records was collected as the statistical basis.Through telephone follow-up or social software tracking,the patients were asked to fill in the relevant psychological evaluation table(such as anxiety,depression,PTSD)and medical questionnaire.Finally,the statistical method was designed and analyzed by SPSS statistical software to find out the factors affecting the mental health status of post-treatment burn patients.Results:160 patients were investigated.Among them,109 were males(68.13%),51women(31.87%).HAD anxiety averaged score was7.6±3.63,and the positive rate of anxiety was 47.50%;HAD depression averaged score was 7.3±3.67,and the positive rate of depression was 44.38%.PTSD scores range from 15 to 78,Average score was 41.12±14.53,and the positive incidence was 45.12%Conclusions:1.Major factors affecting mental health of non-light-degree burn with post-treatment patients are anxiety and depression.2.The causes of anxiety and depression are:(1)The age group is between 24 and 50 years old;(2)The patient is female;The burn position is in a relatively visible position: head,face,or neck.3.Burn area size was positively correlated with anxiety and depression score(TBSA>11%).4.The incidence of anxiety and depression in male patients was 36.70% and 38.53%,significantly lower than the incidence of females(66.67%,72.54%).5.For women with burns,they are under stress when their faces were burned and their appearances changed.So that they lose faith in their marriage and in their relationships,which might even eventually go to failure.This phenomenon also leads to anxiety,even the increase in the incidence of depression.6.Factors affecting PTSD were gender(female)and burn area(TBSA>11%). |
