The outbreak of "COVID-19" has posed a severe challenge to the country’s emergency response system and capacity.With the development of modern network information technology,online rumors spread wantonly like the virus,especially during the outbreaks,which cause great anxiety and panic to the public.If handled improperly,it will cause a series of social problems,interfere with the prevention and control of the epidemic,and hurt the credibility of the government.Then,how does the government play role of administration in dealing with the cyberspace public opinion of major public health events,reduce the adverse impact on social governance,and maintain a harmonious and stable development environment for society? They have become the topics of common concern for governments at all levels,as well as the important issues about how to improve the government’s governance ability and social governance ability.In this paper,the "COVID-19" epidemic will be chosen as a typical case of public health emergencies to analyze the situation of the Chinese government’s control of Internet rumors.Literature research method,case analysis method and other research methods will be applied to explain the law,characteristics and main impact of Internet rumors in public health emergencies,and summarize the related problems such as the lack of a perfect governance mechanism,and single means,etc.At the same time,the paper analyzes the cause of the problems,and point that in order to control the public health emergency online rumors,it is necessary to strengthen the collaborative governance of multiple subjects,improve the response mechanism of online rumors,use big data means,strengthen online media literacy education,and improve relevant laws,regulations and other governance measures,so as to reduce the impact of online rumors on epidemic prevention and control and maintain social order and stability.It is hoped that the analysis and discussion of this problem as well as the suggestions put forward in this paper can provide valuable and meaningful reference for the relevant research and government decision-making. |
