The country strongly advocates the development of vocational education,and secondary vocational schools,as an important part of vocational education,are responsible for the important mission of cultivating professional and skillful talents in China,and their teaching quality has attracted much attention.Secondary vocational students have their own uniqueness,characterized by low interest in learning and weak comprehensive ability,so the teaching quality of secondary vocational colleges and universities faces challenges.In order to improve the quality of talent cultivation in secondary colleges and universities,secondary colleges and universities across China actively carry out curriculum reform and practice,and various forms of teaching methods and means are applied to actual teaching.In order to improve the teaching quality of "Basic Electricity" course in secondary schools,stimulate the learning interest of secondary school students and improve their comprehensive ability,this study combines the characteristics and connections of learning progression concept and project teaching method,and designs the project teaching method under the learning progression concept and applies it to the teaching practice.Firstly,using literature research method,we collected and organized relevant literature,and completed the research background,significance and literature review of the thesis;secondly,we made a detailed introduction to the concepts related to project teaching method under the concept of learning progression,and discussed the relevant theoretical basis of this teaching method;thirdly,we investigated the current teaching situation and learning situation of Basic Electricity through interview,questionnaire research and other research methods,summarized Fourth,with reference to the curriculum standard and textbook content,combined with the law of cognitive development of secondary school students,the teaching contents are integrated and designed,the knowledge points of the textbook are advanced and sorted out,the advanced teaching projects are designed,and the application plan of the project teaching method under the concept of learning progression is formulated.Finally,a comparative experimental study of project teaching and traditional classroom teaching under the concept of learning progression is conducted to analyze the teaching effects based on various aspects such as theoretical knowledge,hands-on ability and learning interest.The results of the study show that the project teaching method under the learning progression concept can enhance the learning interest of secondary school students and reduce their intimidation;it can improve students’ learning performance and help them better understand,master as well as apply their knowledge;it also helps to improve students’ comprehensive abilities such as hands-on ability,analysis and problem-solving ability,communication and expression,and teamwork.It meets the expected teaching objectives and provides a favorable reference for further research.
