Research On The Design Of Rural Community Centers From The Perspective Of Authenticity

Rural community center is the bond connecting residents living in rural areas,where villagers gather for religious,political,economic,and cultural activities.The traditional forms of rural community centers include ancestral temples,temples,bazaars,etc.As the society develops,the rural community center has become the concentrated reflection of rural social structure,public values,and public spirit,which is the main carrier of the sociality and culture of rural communities on physical aspects of space.Therefore,it’s more necessary for the design of rural community centers to take on the responsibility of inheriting rural characteristics and presenting the original appearance of the countryside.However,the design of many rural community centers nowadays follows the same pattern,and it is a common practice to simply present cultural elements and "repair the old as old" from a visual perspective,which cannot reflect the true history of the countryside,nor improve the spatial quality of rural community centers.The purpose of this paper is to come up with feasible methods for presenting rural characteristics in the design of rural community centers.In the research on rural characteristics,authenticity has always been an important concept in the field of heritage protection,which refers to the "true","real",and "original" attributes of the object itself.Rural community centers,assuming the responsibility of inheriting rural characteristics,should be the places presenting most authentic features in the countryside.Therefore,from the perspective of authenticity,this paper carried out research on the design of rural community centers.In this paper,we first go deep into the discussion on the concepts of rural community center and authenticity,exploring their attributes and connotations,and defining the scope and ideas of spatial design concerned by this study.Then,we sort out the relevant theories and design practice cases listed in this paper,propose the relevance between authenticity and rural community center design,extract the corresponding elements of rural community center design in relevant cases,and provide theoretical and practical support for the design strategy proposed in the subsequent text.Next,research will be carried out based on rural community center design,trying to summarize its connotation,and discuss the value and guiding significance of authenticity in rural community center design.In the following chapters,the strategies and updating ideas of rural community center design are elaborated from the perspective of authenticity,and the design principles of integrity,inheritance,differentiation,and polysemy for rural community centers are put forward.Subsequently,in the follow-up survey section,it is to conduct investigation and analysis on the current situation of the site and the extraction of authentic information sources in Shanglajiang Village.Finally,taking Shanglajiang Village,Huixian City as the practical object of design research,we comb out the basic situation of Shanglajiang Village and the questionnaire results through investigation,and use the principles and technical routes mentioned above for the design and feedback of the design strategies,so as to provide a basis for connecting theory with practice in this paper.
