As an important part of the city, the old residential area is also the main places of daily life for the elderly, which has the most direct impact on the health of the elderly and residents. With the urban renewal and development, residents’ demands for residential environment are constantly changing. These dilapidated residential areas built in the early stage can no longer meet the basic needs of the daily life of the contemporary elderly. Therefore, based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, this paper studies the relevant contents of aging landscape in old residential areas, and provides scientific guidance for promoting the optimization of aging landscape in old residential areas. This paper takes the old residential areas in Qingdao as the research object, and uses Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory to construct an evaluation system for the aging landscape of old residential areas.First of all,by combing Maslow’s demand theory and relevant theoretical research on landscape evaluation,it is found that demand-oriented space optimization can better reflect humanistic care, and extract relevant elements that can reflect the core idea of Maslow’s demand hierarchy theory, and analyze the feasibility of aging landscape evaluation to provide corresponding theoretical support for the later research.Secondly, carry out field survey and elderly demand survey on some old residential areas to understand the current situation of old residential areas in Qingdao,so as to strengthen the connection between the follow-up indicator screening and the space of old residential areas and the needs of the elderly, and provide objective and realistic basis for the screening and construction of indicators of the post-adaptive aging landscape evaluation system.Through the screening, optimization and modification of the indicator factors,1 target layer,5criteria layers,12 element layers and 30 indicator factors are finally determined, and the expert index weight scoring questionnaire is collected, and the results are processed by yaahp, and finally a multi-level and multi-factor evaluation system of aging landscape is constructed. Finally, using the established evaluation system for the aging landscape of the old residential area, the empirical study was carried out on the three typical old residential areas in Qingdao: Nozhuang Residential Area,Xinhuali Residential Area, and Siji Dormitory. It was concluded that the evaluation grade of Nozhuang Residential Area and Xinhuali Residential Area was "relatively demanding",and the evaluation grade of Siji Dormitory was "strongly demanding".It can be seen that the aging landscape of the old residential area has a strong intention of transformation, mainly reflected in vision, health Security, vulnerable groups and emotional identity, and put forward targeted optimization strategies. This study has established a landscape aging assessment system from a demand perspective, enriching the application of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, and has guiding and reference significance in promoting the aging landscape improvement of old residential areas.
