Study On The Transformation Of Public Activity Space Suitable For The Old Residential Areas In Ji’nan

In recent years, rapid development of urbanization in our country, along with the growing aging population. The problem of population aging is not only to bring all aspects of our society, but also to the urban and rural planning has brought severe challenges. Elderly due to their physical condition and activity characteristics and other reasons, except in their own homes in daily living and much of the rest of the time is outdoors for some activities, for the elderly, and places of most of these leisure, communication activities is to live within the district public space. In recent years, new residential mostly are taken into account factors increased the proportion of the elderly population, living in the area do some planning and design to meet the needs of the elderly population activities, while the old residential area due to the building’s earlier, did not fully take into account the elderly population to the needs of the public space. Therefore, in the case of aging is becoming increasingly serious, the old residential area of public space for adaptation to aging, so as to meet the needs of the elderly living life and daily leisure, communication is imminent.This paper takes Jinan City as an example, to the elderly and their old residential area of public space as the object of study by data of domestic and foreign relevant research of finishing and typical cases analysis, induction summary of elderly people in a variety of different types of public space activities and characteristics. Using questionnaires, interviews, direct observation method for selected old residential area of field research, through to the residential space boundary, entrance space, street space, space, public facilities, such as the elderly activity analysis, summarizes the current problems of old residential areas in public space, and according to the needs of the elderly activities for each activity space put forward corresponding appropriate aging transformation strategy. Finally summarizes the implementation of the old residential areas in Ji’nan City, the principles and measures for the transformation of space for public activities, to explore how to ensure the smooth implementation of the work of the transformation of the appropriate aging. In order to through this paper of Jinan City in the future of the old residential area of public space appropriate aging transformation to provide some reference and for old people who lived in the old residential district to create a comfortable and pleasant, interesting and safe space for public activities and improve their quality of life and living environment.
