With the rapid development of China's aging process,the traditional old-age care model has been unable to meet the current needs of the elderly.At the same time,the theoretical and practical research on old-age housing and old-age facilities has started late,and the development is relatively lacking.The housing problem for the elderly is increasingly serious.In recent years,the subject of suitable aging renovation of existing residential areas has been widely concerned.The residential area of??colleges and universities is a typical residential area of the unit system.The elderly population is relatively concentrated,and the senior faculty and staff in colleges and universities have certain specialties compared with the general elderly population.Alleviating their pension problems is also an important aspect of solving the social pension problem.Affected by social development and economic level,there are relatively few theoretical studies and actual cases at home and abroad on this type of elderly care problem,and the direction is relatively single,with the particularity and necessity of suitable aging transformation.This article discusses the problem of old-age care in colleges and universities in the context of China's "home-based care for the elderly" model,and alleviates the problem of old-age care for college teachers by adapting the aging transformation of the university environment.First,through field surveys,photo records,one-to-one interviews with questionnaires,and data analysis,using "elderability" as the starting point,the overall environment of the existing residential areas of colleges and universities was investigated and analyzed,and high-quality residential environments and perfect Facilities are equipped with innate conditions for old-age care.At the same time,the potential "uncomfortableness" of the existing environment is explored.For example,there is a lack of barrier-free facilities in public activity spaces and residential units.Secondly,survey the senior faculty and staff groups in the residential areas of colleges and universities,and investigate the physical and psychological characteristics,living status,and behavior patterns to explore their needs for the living environment.Based on the results of the survey,the principles of age-appropriate renovation for existing residential areas of colleges and universities are proposed: the principle of barrier-free,universal design,people-oriented and sustainability.Put forward strategies for the renovation of living service facilities,outdoor public spaces and unit residences in residential areas.Finally,it will be used in the aging transformation of the west residential area of Wenchang campus of China Universityof Mining and Technology,and the transformation practice will be carried out.Based on the investigation and analysis of the practical problems of old-age care in colleges and universities,this article puts forward the strategy of adapting to the aging of existing residential areas in colleges and universities..In theory and practice,it supplements and references the theory of college ageing transformation.
