| Against the backdrop of rapid urbanization and a shift towards stock renewal in urban construction,on the one hand, people are pursuing higher quality of life and a greener and healthier lifestyle, meanwhile many urban problems such as food safety, environmental degradation, and indifferent interpersonal relationships are constantly emerging.Community gardens, with their diverse functions in production, life, and ecology, have emerged in major cities in China as a micro renewal means to comprehensively address the aforementioned issues. However, issues such as land ownership, organizational management, operational security, and lack of participation have limited the further development of community gardens. How to comprehensively evaluate existing community garden projects and propose corresponding update and optimization strategies to address practical issues to respond to the demands of urban residents and better leverage the effectiveness of community gardens has become a key issue. This article takes Wuhan as an example, and conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the usage status of existing community garden projects in Wuhan from three aspects: "spatial distribution","special features",and "user perception evaluation" through a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. On the basis of theoretical research and practical exploration, based on the basic characteristics of land use attributes, participation groups, and management models of gardens, combined with the actual situation of Wuhan City, community gardens are classified(residential, commercial, campus, and company types)and an indicator system based on user perception evaluation is constructed.Analyze the spatial distribution characteristics of gardens through GIS software, evaluate the current construction status and various characteristics of gardens through on-site visits and research, obtain user feelings and evaluations through questionnaire distribution, comprehensively evaluate the construction characteristics and key points of four types of community gardens, and analyze key issues that limit their development. On this basis, targeted optimization and update strategies are proposed to explore the corresponding optimal construction mode:The overall evaluation of residential community gardens is relatively high, but the number is relatively small. On the basis of building a diversified participation and long-term operation mechanism, spatial resources should be integrated and transformed from point to area; The users of commercial community gardens have higher requirements for the quality of the agricultural environment and landscape. They should enhance their brand image, improve their style positioning, and enrich activity design; The focus of campus based community gardens is to improve their educational functions through diversified design; The number of gardens in company type communities is relatively small, and resources should be reasonably integrated, and spatial design should be done well to gradually promote the steady progress of the project in stages. This article aims to improve the construction system and quality of community garden projects through comprehensive research, thereby increasing the satisfaction and recognition of participants. On the one hand,it provides a complete evaluation and optimization plan for the completed projects, and on the other hand,it provides certain reference significance for the new construction projects of community gardens. At the same time,it provides a more mature and multifunctional new plan for the urban micro renewal development of Wuhan City. |
