| In the context of the new era of retail industry,with the continuous progress of technology and changes in consumer habits,traditional Chinese retail industry is facing new challenges.Retail companies typically face problems such as reduced profits or even losses,slowing or even declining revenue growth.In the context of the retail market,the concept of "new retail" based on the Internet and big data technology has emerged,combining online,offline,and logistics elements to improve the efficiency of products and services in production,transportation,and consumption.With the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020,people’s consumption habits have changed dramatically.Traditional retail can no longer meet the current development needs.For the traditional home furnishing industry,there is an urgent need to explore new profit models.In this environment,new retail is constantly developing and improving to adapt to updated consumer demand,seeking new ways out for the future development of the retail industry.This article selects KUKA HOME,which is closely following the pace of new retail development,as the research object.It mainly uses case analysis and financial analysis methods to conduct a comprehensive analysis of KUKA HOME’s profit model under new retail.Firstly,this article introduces the research background,purpose,and significance,while sorting out and summarizing relevant literature at home and abroad,clarifying the research ideas,content,methods,and innovation points,and then defines the relevant concepts such as new retail and profit models involved in the article,and explains the basic theories used in this article;Secondly,based on the analysis of the development process of KUKA HOME Appliances,this thesis analyzes its unique profit model,which is a comprehensive operation model of omnichannel sales,professional services,and experiential consumption.Starting from the components of the profit model,it deeply analyzes its profit model from five aspects: profit point,profit object,profit source,profit barrier,and profit leverage;Then,based on the financial indicators of KUKA HOME,a comprehensive review and evaluation of the financial effects before and after the transformation of its new retail profit model were conducted,and the problems existing in the current KUKA HOME’s new retail profit model in terms of profit points,profit targets,profit sources,profit barriers,and profit leverage were found.The causes of these problems were analyzed,and finally,relevant optimization suggestions were proposed for the problems.Combining the new retail background,this article analyzes the development advantages and disadvantages of the new retail profit model adopted by KUKA HOME and puts forward relevant targeted suggestions.On the one hand,it provides feasible suggestions for the development and operation of KUKA HOME.On the other hand,it can also provide some experience for the traditional retail home furnishing enterprises.It is expected that the case study in this article has certain reference value for the development of new retail formats,and has some advantages for the innovative development of household retail enterprises. |
