With the deepening of high-quality transformation and development of the manufacturing industry,in order to cope with the competitive market environment and overcome increasingly severe survival challenges,relevant manufacturing enterprises need to actively explore ways to improve their competitive advantages to ensure sustainable and healthy development.As a newly established small and medium-sized private enterprise,DS Company is mainly engaged in steel rolling processing,which is characterized by high capital input and high energy consumption.However,in the process of steel calender processing,DS company workshop has a lot of waste of resources,which seriously affects the product competitiveness of cold rolled coil in the marketing stage.Therefore,this paper takes the steel calender workshop of DS Company as the research object to optimize the layout of the workshop.Firstly,the layout status,processing process and logistics status of steel calender workshop of DS Company were analyzed in detail by means of field investigation and fishbone diagram,etc.The problems of the original layout scheme were summarized,such as unscientific layout scheme design,high logistics cost,and cold rolled coil production was not up to expectations,which pointed out the direction for the layout optimization of the later workshop.Secondly,under the restriction of relevant restrictive conditions,the relationship between each operation unit in DS steel calender workshop was deeply analyzed by SLP method.On this basis,two sets of different layout optimization schemes were designed.Then,Flexsim simulation software was used to simulate each scheme and verify the effectiveness of the optimization scheme.By comparing the logistics cost and the average utilization rate of equipment,it was found that compared with the original layout scheme,the optimization scheme 1 and optimization scheme 2 reduced 4058700 yuan and 4164120 yuan respectively,and increased by 2.48% and 3.08%.At the same time,the total distance of material handling,the number of cold rolled rolls completed and other indicators have also achieved some improvement effect,so the optimal scheme 2 is finally selected as the optimal workshop layout scheme of DS company.Finally,in order to guarantee the implementation effect of the optimization plan,four measures are proposed,namely,setting up the implementation leading group of the optimization plan,attaching importance to the key role played by the employees,consolidating the relevant system construction and fostering the cultural atmosphere of continuous improvement,in order to provide certain reference or reference for similar enterprises in solving the optimization problem of workshop layout.
