| With the introduction of a series of policies such as "Beautiful Countryside Construction," "Rural Revitalization Strategy," and "Building a Strong Culture Nation," traditional villages have gradually received attention from many disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, geography, and planning and architecture.Public spaces,as one of the core areas in traditional villages, have become the focus of related research. As the main carrier of public activities for villagers, the revitalization of public spaces is an important aspect of building livable and prosperous villages, improving the village’s appearance, and promoting social cohesion. However, the scattered, rough, and increasingly "urbanized" updates and constructions of public spaces in traditional villages at present have led to problems such as underuse, cultural loss, ecological damage, and lack of vitality, making it difficult to achieve the goal of rural revitalization. Therefore,it is urgent to explore how to exert the role of villagers, balance the relationship between design ideals and real-life,awaken the vitality of public spaces in traditional villages, and create a harmonious, beautiful, and sustainable traditional village space environment.Based on the perspective of villager subjectivity, this thesis takes the public spaces in traditional villages in Qianjiang,Chongqing as the research object, and forms a research path that is gradually advanced through "theoretical grasp and case analysis, field investigation and problem analysis, strategy proposal, and practical demonstration." Firstly,in terms of theoretical grasp and case analysis, the research framework for the design of revitalized public spaces in traditional villages in Qianjiang under the perspective of villager subjectivity was established by grasping the theory of subject cognition, the structure of subject cognition, and the relevant theory of cognitive development.Meanwhile, the exploration path of villager subjectivity in this thesis was clarified by referring to relevant theories of daily life, urban imagery, and collective memory.Secondly,in terms of field investigation and problem analysis,a survey framework for the public spaces in traditional villages in Qianjiang was constructed through literature review and field investigation, and the current status of public spaces was summarized based on the villager subjectivity, and the design inspiration was also summarized.Next,in terms of revitalization design principles and strategy proposals, four principles, namely subjectivity, integrity, dynamics, and localization, were proposed based on the current situation and relevant inspiration, and design strategies were put forward to reshape the spatial structure, integrate local expressions, enhance space quality, and guide villager participation. Finally,in terms of practical demonstration, the revitalization design practices were carried out in three traditional villages,Chengjia Courtyard,Yejia Courtyard, and Tanjia Village, according to the principles of subjectivity, typicity, and universality. It aimed to build a bridge between theory and practice, further explain the guiding significance of the research results for revitalization design practices, and provide certain references for the revitalization of public spaces in traditional villages in Qianjiang and surrounding areas. |
