Research On The Activation Of Public Space Of Traditional Villages In Xiyan Town Under The Centralized Continuous Protection And Development

As the basic production unit and social organization of China,traditional villages carry the historical culture of China’s agricultural civilization,folk customs,production wisdom,regional characteristics and other historical and cultural heritage,and are typical living cultural heritage.Under the background of modern urbanization,a large number of traditional villages are facing a crisis of extinction,with a sharp decrease in quantity,a decline in quality,and a continuous loss of characteristics.For traditional village clusters,the static protection development model that has been fighting alone for a long time has gradually exposed practical problems such as single development mode,poor competitiveness,and homogenization while achieving certain results,and lacks scientific and effective activation strategies to guide it,which will lead to more prominent problems of unbalanced and insufficient development in the long run,resulting in the overall inactivation or even disappearance of the cluster.As the main display carrier of the history and culture of traditional villages and the collective memory of communities,the inactivation of public space is more common and prominent.Therefore,the change of thinking of holistic protection and development has become the key to solving the problem,which is in line with the policy requirements of "concentrated continuous protection and utilization" issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.The large number of traditional villages in Xiyan Town,the clustering of spatial distribution,and the similarity of cultural characteristics constitute the village cluster of "Ancient Town Xiyan",and all villages in the territory have prominent cultural and historical resources,and there is a certain degree of coupling between tourism resources and villages in space,showing inseparable characteristics as a whole.In addition,there are many practical problems of "unbalanced and insufficient development" in various villages,and they are facing similar reasons and dilemmas behind them,and the adoption of the "concentrated continuous protection development model" is an inevitable guide.Based on this,this paper takes the actual project "Protection and Utilization of Concentrated Contiguous Traditional Villages in Yicheng County" as the practical experience,selects the public space of traditional villages in Xiyan Town as the research object,takes the concentrated contiguous protection and development as the research perspective,and aims to solve the above practical problems as the applied research.In order to provide ideas,methods and case references for the new model of centralized and continuous protection and development of traditional villages.The specific research process is carried out from five parts: background research,perspective research,object research,perspective object matching research and practical research.The first part puts forward through the chapter on questions and background,"How to activate the public space of traditional villages in the region under the model of concentrated continuous protection and development?" "The key issues;Through basic research such as relevant concepts,theories and research reviews,it provides a large number of basic literature,theoretical basis and feasible directions for the analysis and solution of "key problems".The second part puts forward the content,core mechanism and main work content of the traditional village concentrated continuous protection and development model by combing the literature content,and discusses the compatibility between the two based on the basic analysis of the traditional villages in Xiyan Town,and clarifies the correlation between the centralized continuous mode and the activation of public space.The third part analyzes the current situation of public space in Xiyan Town from the evolution context,spatial type,component elements,usage and inactivation degree determination,and summarizes the spatial characteristics and inactivation status problems.The fourth part adopts the principle of "area resource assessment-protection development level,type determination-public space activation content screening-activation-revitalizable public space identification-public space activation design",and puts forward the planning and design process paradigm of "area resource assessment-protection development level,type determination-public space activation content screening-activatable public space identification-public space activation design".The fifth part is based on the paradigm proposed in the fourth part,and conducts practical research in Xiyan Town,and selects Shijihe Village at the micro level to carry out practical practice.The main conclusions of the study are as follows:(1)sort out the academic research on "concentrated continuous protection and development of traditional villages",summarize and innovatively and extend the conceptual definition,specific work path and content of the model;(2)construct a county-scale traditional village concentration contiguous area identification framework to guide the identification of "spatial unit" areas;(3)Construct an assessment system for the characteristic resources of traditional village protection and development to guide the delineation of village levels and types,and determine the differentiated division of functions;(4)From the perspective of the landing of landscape space,the design strategy of public space activation of traditional villages under concentrated contiguous areas is proposed,the functional library of public space under concentrated contiguous villages is summarized,the public space activation mechanism with "spatial function and spatial representation" as the core is proposed,and the design guidelines for public space activation are proposed in two major sections: functional reconstruction and style improvement.
