As the finishing touch in architecture,the gate tower embodies the exquisite skills and great wisdom of the ancients.It is a living carrier of traditional Chinese culture and a significant cultural heritage.This article takes the decorative art of existing brick carved gate buildings in northern Zhejiang as the main research object.Through surveying,mapping,and photographing the remaining gatehouses on site,combining historical literature and interview materials,and using relevant theories such as design,architecture,culture,and phenomenology,it systematically studies the design content,pattern characteristics,decorative methods,and aesthetic concepts of the art of gatehouses,And explore its inheritance and modern design inspiration based on the context of current social trends.Firstly,summarize the characteristics of gatehouse buildings in northern Zhejiang,and introduce the current situation of existing brick carvings in gatehouses;Then,based on typology,the shape and decorative components of the gatehouse are divided into types,and the background of its formation is sorted out from the perspectives of natural,social,and cultural environment.The motivation for the development of the gatehouse is explored from a macro perspective;According to the form of decorative patterns for gatehouses,there are two branches: the first is "Chinese style local" decorative elements,and the other is "heterogeneous Western style" decorative elements.The two derive from each other and further clarify the schematic changes in decorative patterns for gatehouses in northern Zhejiang from a diachronic perspective.Secondly,Study the design style and expression of brick carving decorative art in gatehouses.Compare the three styles of decorative art,namely the Soviet style,the Anhui style,and the Western style,and discuss in detail the characteristics of different crafts such as relief,openwork,and circular carving in a combination of graphics and text.Then,visually demonstrate the essence and environmental color style of the decorative art of the outdoor building,confirming the rationality and naturalness of its design.Next,the design characteristics of brick carving decorative art for gatehouses in the northern Zhejiang region during the Qing Dynasty were studied.One is to discuss the composition relationship of decorative art from the perspective of the hierarchy of internal and external frameworks;The second is to analyze the formal beauty of balance,series,and proportion in decorative art.Thirdly,the aesthetic implications of the decorative art of brick carvings in the gate building are extracted and analyzed from multiple dimensions,gradually revealing the value and role of decorative language;On this basis,analyze the dissemination and infiltration of aesthetics in the fields of aesthetic perception,aesthetic empathy,and culture,and gradually rise to the philosophical level to explore the aesthetic phenomenon of integration and infiltration between aesthetic culture and gate building decoration;According to the evolution of decorative patterns,it can be divided into three periods,and a decorative image system can be constructed.By combining schema analysis with textual discourse,the evolution law of decorative intentions in gate buildings can be summarized,from weak to strong imagery,and from indirect to direct imagery.Finally,this article summarizes the inheritance connotation of the decorative art of the gate building,and explores the interpretation and inspiration of its design ideas in modern design.To provide a new way for inheriting artistic value and creating more artistic works that are more in line with traditional and excellent Chinese culture. |
