Jiangxi Luling Traditional Residential Carving Study

Chinese culture is the only one which has not been interrupted. Art is a bright pearl in Chinese culture. We are very proud of those artworks remained from ancient times. Wars in the history and political campaigns destroy many visible and invisible national cultural heritages. Cities'constructions also ruin inhabitants'carved ornamentations. Most people have not realized that the more important is cultural main body consciousness comparing with the traditional common people's residence decorative carving. Under the background of traditional culture's rapid outflow, protecting the traditional common people's residence decorative carving, and establishing the Chinese culture's the main body status and the cultural sympathy are most important right now.In the past few years, architecture of Hui Zou style is very popular in China. And it obtains good protection from social and the cultural department. But the ancient construction and the construction decorative carving with Jiangxi culture philosophy do not get much attention by the public and many of them have been destroyed because of distance and lack of transport facilities. This article, which is combining middle area of Jiangxi's traditional culture and the historical survey, analyzes the Luling traditional common people's residence building's carving in the perspectives of woodcarving, the brick carving and the stone carving based on the basic skeleton of Luling traditional dwellings.
