Study On The Traditional Residential Courtyard Space Decorative Art

Traditional folk house building is literature, history of people of central Sha’an xi. And it is also teaching material of aesthetic culture. Traditional flok houses o Ming & Qing Dynasty are kept in lots of cities. Those buildings mainly exist in Xian, \Xianyang, Weinan and so on. Those cities present construction heritage of traditional folk house.This paper’s research objects are decorative art and its connotation of central Sha’an xi folk house. No matter stones, bricks, wood carvings, which are important parts of constructive structure and derived from main construction part. People of dynasty by dynasty build houses and decorate mainly by stones, bricks, and wood carvings. No matter roofs, doors, windows, walls or foundation bed and even a stone brick, which all have rich carving skills and themes. This kind of decorative art of caving is combined with practical function, which creates fantastic and comfortable living. In order to make constructive structure more perfect, designers and workers summarize experience and skills. These houses’ decorative art reflects people’s way of livings, folks’ culture, religious faith and aesthetic ideals.In this paper we get to know and learn traditional decorative art, folks culture and art &craft science through discussing central Sha’an xi traditional folk houses, local culture and culture connotation and summarizing decorative art and showing different decorative srts skills in constructive structure. Now, our country is in a collision between modern living model and traditional folks culture model. Now, our concerns and focuses are how to be creative in tradition; how to be well mixed art and modern science; how to apply the traditional culture’s core into modern buildings and designs; how to create folk house which are needed by society and accepted by people; how to develop and expand Chinese traditional culture. The value of traditional folk houses in central Sha’an xi not only rests with its substance, but more its connotation and art value. Only protected well by us\,can we carry them forward.
