| The historic district is the unique cultural symbol and memory carrier of the city.After the reform and opening up,the speed of urban renewal in Wuxi is getting faster and faster,and more and more modern buildings are built in the historic district.These new modern buildings are incompatible with the style of the historical district,which is a kind of cultural and ecological damage.With the loss of the historical and cultural characteristics of the city,the historic district gradually "amnesia";the disharmony between the color,scale and shape of the new buildings and the existing buildings leads to the imbalance of the overall image of the district.In recent years,as people have paid more and more attention to the protection of cultural heritage,people have begun to re-examine the relationship between modern buildings and historical blocks,and historical blocks such as Qingming Bridge and Xiaolou Lane have ushered in a new era Round update iterations.However,traditional buildings are limited by their own spatial scale and can no longer meet the needs of modern society.In order to inject new vitality into the historical district and continue to develop,it is necessary for larger-scale new buildings to intervene in the historical district.Therefore,in While strengthening the protection of historical architectural heritage,strengthening the integration with new buildings,especially large-scale new buildings,has become an important topic in the planning and construction of historical districts today.This paper takes the large-scale newly built buildings in Wuxi’s historic districts as the research object.The introduction of the first chapter puts forward the background,goals and related concepts of the research,and combines the research overview to demonstrate the significance and value of the research.The second chapter investigates the overall situation of Wuxi’s historic districts and the status quo of new buildings,and discovers some disharmonious factors and problems in the design of large-scale new buildings,such as inharmonious design styles and stacking of traditional decorations.The third chapter analyzes through the case study method,and divides the cases into three categories: focusing on environmental harmony and traditional continuation,emphasizing visual tension and contrasting old and new,integrating cultural brands and commercial operations,summarizing experience,and providing realistic basis for subsequent method research and design practice.The fourth and fifth chapters are the theoretical and methodological research part.First,aiming at the newly built buildings in Wuxi’s historic districts,it is proposed to design based on the existing environment of the site,reasonably control the spatial scale of the newly built buildings,integrate new functions and reshape the block texture,and continue Wuxi’s local environment.Five spatial design methods based on architectural cultural imagery,space arrangement based on themes and concepts;secondly,three morphological design methods are proposed: finding a balance between old and new,local expression of building materials,and expression of non-material elements in new buildings.method.The sixth chapter verifies the practicability and operability of the research results with design practice.The article selects an idle site in the historic district of Huishan Ancient Town for design practice,and puts forward a corresponding design plan for the construction of large-scale new buildings in the historic district of Wuxi.As well as the inheritance and innovative development of historical and cultural heritage,it provides a way of thinking. |
