| China is now gradually changing from a high-speed development stage to a high-quality development stage,and the transformation of the development stage makes the country need to vigorously promote the application of high-tech digital technologies such as 5G,artificial intelligence,big data,cloud computing,etc..Nowadays,it is also a stage of vigorous development of the digital economy,and the traditional large-scale production and manufacturing of enterprises can no longer meet their own development needs.Therefore,the state has embedded the digital economy into the development of traditional manufacturing enterprises,and has successively issued policies such as "Made in China 2025","14th Five-Year Plan Digital Economy Development Outline","Industry 4·0" and other policies to fully support the implementation of digital transformation and development of manufacturing enterprises.At the same time,the market continues to emerge new enterprises and new technologies,making the competitive pressure of various industries very fierce,and consumer demand tends to be fragmented and personalized.In addition,the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 has made more companies aware of the critical nature of digital transformation,which is imperative.If home appliance companies belonging to the traditional manufacturing industry want to occupy a certain seat in the market competition,they must adapt to the changes of the times and technological changes and actively carry out digital transformation.How to transform to adapt to the changes of the times and bring positive growth to enterprise performance has become the main issue to be considered before enterprise transformation.Therefore,this paper takes Haier Smart Home,a leading home appliance company,as a case study object,and first describes the development strategy and digital transformation process of Haier Smart Home.Secondly,the TOE framework is used to analyze the transformation drivers of Haier Smart Home in technology,organization and environment.On this basis,the impact of Haier Smart Home’s digital transformation on company performance is analyzed from three aspects.The results of this paper find that: First,from a technical point of view,the digital transformation of Haier Smart Home can promote the company’s technological innovation,so that the number of invention patents of the company has increased year by year,and the related product revenue has increased;Second,from the organizational level,the digital transformation of Haier Smart Home has prompted enterprises to optimize and adjust their internal organizations,and the breakthrough of departmental barriers and the concept of "Everyone Maker" have effectively reduced the company’s management expenses and sales expense ratios,and gradually increased net profits.Third,from the environmental perspective,Haier Smart Home’s digital transformation has enabled it to seize opportunities and overcome the obstacles of the epidemic when responding to the changes brought by the environment,and the market share of its main products and the company’s brand in the international market has increased significantly,and its brand value far exceeds that of its competitors.To a certain extent,this paper increases the motivation of enterprise digital transformation and the research on the impact path on enterprise transformation performance,and also provides a certain case reference for more enterprises to carry out digital transformation to improve transformation performance,which has certain theoretical and practical significance. |
