During childhood,education has a crucial impact on one’s lifetime.The learning and living environment in kindergarten has a subtle but influential effect on a child’s physical and mental growth and development.With the development of quality education and the release of relevant literature in recent years,people have paid increasing attention to kindergarten education.However,there are many problems in the current design of kindergarten environments in China that need to be addressed.Therefore,creating a learning environment that can inspire children’s potential and creativity becomes an important way to solve the existing problems and meet the developmental psychological needs of children.This study focuses on the indoor environment of kindergartens.By exploring and developing theories related to child development psychology and indoor space design in kindergartens,the study combines two disciplines and summarizes environmental psychology as a connecting discipline between child development psychology and the design discipline of indoor kindergarten spaces.The study analyzes the major design principles and methods of child development psychology theory in kindergarten indoor space,conducts actual surveys and analyzes the current situation of the indoor environment of Qimeng Kindergarten in Hefei,summarizes and investigates the needs of the user group in kindergarten indoor space,and determines the design direction and positioning of the indoor space of kindergartens.By combining child development psychology theory with indoor kindergarten design and adopting reasonable design techniques,the study aims to find better design methods in a safe and comfortable indoor environment by considering the differences in physical,psychological,cognitive,and other factors of children at different stages of development.Based on the concept of child development psychology,the study presents a kindergarten indoor space that meets the needs of children in terms of reasonable space layout,multifunctional space,material safety,decoration and styling,and color.The final goal is to create a kindergarten indoor environment that is orderly,interesting,comfortable,and safe.
