As a special existence in the vast rural areas,traditional villages are the precious heritage of 5,000 years of history and culture of the Chinese nation.They are usually rich in ecological,historical and cultural resources,and have high historical value and inheritance significance.In recent years,they have been the focus of attention of the country and scholars from all walks of life.However,with the acceleration of urbanization,the problem of unbalanced relationship between urban and rural areas has gradually emerged,and a large number of traditional villages containing the rich history and culture of the Chinese nation are facing the risk of being destroyed or even disappearing.For the transformation of the relationship between urban and rural areas in the new era,the country has put forward the policy background of rural revitalization strategy,which has guidance requirements for the protection and development planning of villages in the new era.Therefore,protecting and developing traditional villages is an indispensable part of rural revitalization.Conversely,the proposal of rural revitalization strategy also provides a new opportunity for the protection and development of traditional villages.Based on the current situation of Zhonglou Village,a traditional village in Conghua District,Guangzhou,this paper explores the protection strategy with regional characteristics of local traditional villages according to local conditions.Therefore,on the basis of analyzing and summarizing the main problems existing in the protection and development of traditional villages at home and abroad,analyzing the value composition of traditional villages and the requirements and principles of the new era of rural revitalization strategy and other relevant research results,this paper takes Zhonglou Village as an example to analyze its basic situation,including the historical evolution and the current situation of village environment.This paper analyzes and interprets Zhonglou Ancient Village from the aspects of site selection,street pattern,traditional architecture and intangible cultural heritage.Based on the problems existing in the process of village development,taking this as the problem orientation,combined with the importance and particularity of value inheritance of Zhonglou Village,guided by the rural revitalization strategy and starting from the four requirements of ecological livable,rural culture civilization,industrial prosperity and effective governance,this paper puts forward the strategies to be followed in the protection of traditional villages.Based on the policy requirements of ecological livable,protection strategies are proposed from the human settlement environment,landscape pattern,public service facilities and other infrastructure.Based on the policy requirements of rural culture,the corresponding protection strategies are proposed from the aspects of the demarcation of protection zones,the classified protection of traditional buildings and the active protection of intangible cultural heritage.Based on the policy requirement of industrial prosperity,the development strategy is put forward from the brand of agricultural products and the form of cultural tourism.Based on the policy requirements of effective governance,protection strategies are proposed from the aspects of multi-subject joint creation and giving play to the leading role of rural talents.Finally,the paper summarizes the research results and draws conclusions,and analyzes and reflects on the shortcomings of the research in this paper,hoping to provide reference value for the research on the protection and development of other similar traditional villages under the rural revitalization...
