Planning And Design Of Traditional Villages Based On The Integration Of Culture And Tourism Promoting Rural Revitalization

Traditional villages,as an important carrier of Chinese traditional culture,embody the ecological wisdom of ancient people in living in harmony with nature.Currently,traditional villages face issues such as serious hollowing-out,destruction of traditional patterns,and conflicts between protection and development.It is urgent to strengthen research on the current situation of traditional villages,identify their landscape and cultural characteristics,and carry out reasonable landscape improvement and industrial planning,which can contribute to the protection and sustainable development of traditional villages.The Wuyishan region in Fujian Province has unique advantages in natural and cultural resources,with 10 traditional villages listed in the Chinese Traditional Village Directory in the first to fifth batches.In response to the requirements of China’s rural revitalization strategy,this paper selects two traditional villages in Wuyishan City that are listed in the directory,Shangmei and Xiamei,as research objects,and carries out a current situation investigation and reasonable landscape improvement and industrial planning design.After conducting a survey of Shangmei Village,it was found that the village is located in a picturesque mountain and water landscape,with traditional houses in the layout of the Three-Hall Compound of Northern Fujian,and with revolutionary cultural characteristics.The agricultural industry is dominant and needs to develop the tertiary industry.Shangmei Village is located in the Zhu Xi Cultural-Lian Travel Integration Demonstration Zone of the "One Core and Eight Areas Development Guidance,Multiple Points on Five Lines and One Ring" spatial layout of the Wu Yi Shan City.Based on the survey results,strategies were proposed to enhance the landscape and develop the red cultural characteristics of the village.The plan includes the conservation area of the mountain and forest industry,the ecological farmland demonstration area,the ecological tea plantation area,the ecological vegetable planting demonstration area,and the agricultural tourism development area.Xia Mei Village is a traditional ancient village with rich tourism resources,including historic buildings and streets with cultural features such as Min-Yue culture,Neo-Confucianism culture,and Rock Tea culture.It has been listed in the second batch of China’s Historic and Cultural Villages and the first batch of China’s Traditional Villages.The village has favorable natural surroundings with houses in the form of a courtyard with three rooms and one central courtyard.Due to slow tourism development and a need for integration of the tea industry,a spatial plan was proposed based on the protection of historical buildings at the provincial and city levels and the revitalization of the countryside in the Wu Yi Shan City area.The plan includes the establishment of a new village living area,a commercial and travel service area,a modern tea culture exchange center,a cultural exchange center for the ancient tea market,a tea tourism integration development axis,the Wanli Tea Road Cultural Experience Belt,and the Mei River Historical and Cultural Belt.The plan aims to promote the revitalization of the countryside through the integration of cultural and tourism industries and to achieve the protection and utilization of the traditional village.
