Since 2009,China has consistently dominated the world’s largest automotive market.In2022,China surpassed Germany as the second largest automotive exporter for the first time.The automotive supply chain spans all walks of life with broad and long characteristics.The competition in today’s automotive industry is not only about technology,but also about management and supply chain.Since 2020,with the continuous spread and deterioration of the COVID-19,the automotive supply chain has suffered an unprecedented disaster.The epidemic prevention policies in various regions have made it impossible for the automotive industry supply chain to continue production.Enterprises are facing a sharp decline in income,many enterprises are in a difficult situation,and lack of core and expensive electricity has become the norm in the automotive industry.From the outbreak of the epidemic in 2020 to December 2022,global production has been reduced by more than 10 million complete vehicles due to supply chain risks.Risk management in the automotive supply chain is beginning to receive renewed attention from various automotive companies.The JL company selected in this article is also affected by the supply chain risk crisis,and the company is also actively exploring supply chain risk management solutions.This article selects JL Company as the case object to study the current situation of supply chain risk management in JL Company,explore the current supply chain risk situation of the enterprise,and propose improvement plans for the identification and evaluation of enterprise supply chain risk and supply chain risk management.First of all,after reading a large number of domestic and foreign literature on supply chain risk management,the current methods and theories of supply chain risk management in the industry are sorted out and summarized.Based on the statistics of the actual supply chain risk occurrence times of JL Company,the supply chain risk of JL Company is analyzed from four aspects: supplier risk,logistics risk,environmental risk,and demand risk.Secondly,by using the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy analysis method to evaluate and score various supply chain risk factors of JL Company,it is concluded that the overall supply chain risk of JL Company is controllable,and the probability of occurrence of high risk and higher risk is relatively low.However,supplier risk and demand risk have the highest contribution to overall risk and need to be taken seriously and improved.Based on the evaluation results of JL Company’s high contribution to supplier risk and demand risk,this article innovatively proposes a supplier risk evaluation model to improve JL Company’s existing supplier risk management mechanism.Targeted improvements have been made in five areas: opening communication channels for raw material supply,personnel change point management,business continuity monitoring,management system promotion,and quality visits to suppliers with key quality risks.In addition,against the background of the COVID-19,the rapid change of the automobile market in recent years and the fluctuation of market demand caused by the economic downturn,solutions are proposed from two aspects.One is to establish a unified demand forecasting platform to improve the accuracy of demand forecasting.One is to develop a push pull combination for JL’s actual bullwhip effect,storing raw materials and parts inventory in JL’s upstream supply chain.Finally,it is recommended that JL Company adopt the measures of design platform to avoid the risks caused by demand fluctuations.
