| This paper focuses on the study of the activity space of disabled people in the community,and aims to provide suitable physical environment conditions for social integration by establishing a disabilityfriendly public space in a large community.Based on barrier-free design theory and universal design theory,this paper introduces concepts such as social integration and community friendliness,so as to provide theoretical support for community-friendly spaces for the disabled.According to the spiritual and material cultural needs of disabled people,combined with social development and national policies,the rationality and necessity of planning and establishing disability-friendly activity spaces in the community are discussed.By using field research methods and questionnaire survey methods to analyze the actual needs of disabled people for residential environment,the design strategy of establishing community-friendly activity space was summarized.Safe and barrier-free travel space is an important material environment foundation to break the spatial fixation of disabled groups,so the integration of universal design is the basic design principle that disability-friendly activity space must abide by.Through the theory of sensory compensation,the design method of stimulating the five senses is not only conducive to increasing the accessibility,safety and convenience of the activity space environment,but also conducive to enhancing the sense of spatial experience of disabled groups.Introducing prefabricated buildings – modular design approaches to create disability-friendly activity spaces that provide a realistic way for communities to reuse vacant space.This paper encourages disabled groups to go out of social stability and realize the social integration of disabled people and able-bodied people,so as to better stimulate the sense of belonging and identity of community residents.It is hoped that the final research results can provide reference experience for the government and community planning to establish a harmonious and inclusive community environment. |
