The construction of children friendly cities has become a hot topic in China’s urban construction. As an important space for the construction of children friendly cities, the study and construction of the learning path are not yet perfect. This article starts from the perspective of emotional space and takes ten primary schools in Tianxin District as an example to construct an evaluation system for the emotional space of children friendly learning paths. The AHP entropy weight method is used to evaluate the learning path of ten primary schools in Tianxin District,Using eye movement technology to analyze children’s preferences and proposing strategies and designs for optimizing children’s learning paths, the research results are as follows:(1)Based on the theoretical analysis of children’s physiological, psychological and behavioral characteristics, characteristics differences between children and adults, and emotional space, three core first level indicators, namely, instinct level, behavior level, and reflection level, seven second level indicators, namely, color, texture, sensory experience, functionality, usability, interest interaction, and educational inspiration, and 36 third level indicators, namely, plant color season, space painting, and building facade color, are summarized.Through the subjective evaluation of Analytic Hierarchy Process and the objective evaluation of entropy weight method,a comprehensive weight analysis is conducted. The weight size is as follows:the first level indicator, instinctual level>behavioral level>reflective level, and the second level indicator, usage level>color>sensory experience>functionality>fun interaction>educational inspiration.(2)By constructing an evaluation system for children’s comprehensive learning paths in the emotional space,29 comprehensive learning paths within the Tianxin District and the Outer Ring School District were selected as the research objects for evaluation and analysis. The results show that Furong Middle Road in the inner ring,Wanfu North Road in the central ring, and Xianfeng Road in the outer ring of the main and secondary roads have the highest emotional evaluation scores, and Huilongshan Lane has the highest emotional evaluation score among street and alley types. The main problems of the main and secondary roads in the inner ring are unclear division of road rights, single hierarchy of plant results, lack of interesting facilities and space, etc. The main and secondary roads in the central ring mainly have problems such as insufficient sidewalk width and insufficient store richness. The main and secondary roads in the outer ring mainly have problems such as insufficient infrastructure and maintenance management. The streets and alleys mainly lack unified planning and management, and the business format of shops is chaotic.(3)After conducting an emotional evaluation of the physical environment of children’s learning paths, eye trackers were used to analyze their visual preferences. The results showed that in primary and secondary roads, children’s visual preferences were mainly concentrated in elements such as trees, sky, and building walls. In streets and alleys, children’s visual preferences were concentrated in building shop signs, sky, and street lights.Children prefer street elements with special shapes and rich colors, such as streetlights with special shapes, colorful paving, and colorful herbaceous flowers.(4)By using an emotional space evaluation system and eye movement analysis,we aim to address the issues with the general learning path and children’s visual preferences, enrich the experience of using the general learning path from multiple levels, senses, and perspectives, and enhance the emotional experience of the general learning path. Finally, optimize and transform different types of general learning paths.
