Pursuing the high efficiency of urbanization,China has made a great achievement since the reform and opening-up policy.Since 2014,the central government began to advance a new-type urbanization that is human-centered and environmentally friendly.People began to scan cities from the perspective of different groups and individuals, finding many urban problems.Children are ignored under the motorized transportation-oriented urban planning.Oversized streets, excessive traffic flow and the resulting air pollution make children walk to school unsafely and uncomfortably.Additionally, with the huge challenges faced by public health today, healthy city planning, efficient city management and informatization construction are accelerating. Therefore, from the perspective of children’s health, this article discusses the correlation between the urban built environment and children’s health, and selects two representative old and new urban primary schools in Nanjing, combined with new technologies, the most important part of the urban built environment, namely Street environmental quality research measures and explores the most important factors that affect the street environment.Based on this, the street environment around the school is classified, and then through the investigation of children ’s psychological emotional perceptions related to these street environments, they are found to be related to children ’s psychology The link between health. The full text structure is as follows:Chapter 1 mainly elaborates the background, purpose and significance of this study. It provides a comprehensive and systematic review of street environment research related to children ’s health at home and abroad in the past decade, defines the research object, and clarifies the research Method, combed the research technical route. The second chapter builds a theoretical system to study the relationship between children’s health and street environment.First,by combing children’s psychological and behavioral characteristics and street environmental characteristics, the correlation logic between children’s health and built environment is clarified. Then the current factors and measures of children’s health, street environmental factors and measures are sorted out. This article focuses on the investigation of the factors that affect children’s mental health in the street.Chapter 3 is a research of two primary schools in the old and new urban areas of Nanjing, the street environment evaluation related to physical activity and children’s emotional cognition research on street scenes were conducted.Firstly,a street environment evaluation model from the perspective of children’s health was constructed.Using street scene images,a virtual audit of the street environment around the research object was conducted, and the credibility of the street environment evaluation model around the school was tested to confirm its usability.24 street scene images around two schools were selected to conduct psychological and emotional tests on 135 sixth grade children. The main characteristics of children’s emotional perception were analyzed, and the characteristics and differences of the street environment in the old and new urban areas were compared.Chapter 4 explores the characteristics of a child-friendly street environment from a health perspective, clusters children’s happiness indicators and describes streets with different emotional categories.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze emotions and street environmental factors, and the relationship between each street environmental factor and children’s emotions in three dimensions was obtained. The correlation between various factors is compared, and the street evaluation index system is optimized to obtain a fourdimensional street environmental characteristic system.Four-dimension street diagnosis was carried out on the research object, and through analyzing the data results, starting from the psychological orientation of children, various ideas for street environment optimization were proposed.Focusing on the whole and part,it proposes strategies for optimizing and improving the street environment in a child-friendly city from the planning and design levels.Chapter 5 summarizes the full text, reflects on the deficiencies in research and improved methods, and looks ahead to the future.
