| With the adjustment of the national fertility policy,the number of children in China is expected to increase.The physical and mental health of children has become a hot topic of concern in academic community,and the issues of children’s growth and development and children’s rights and interests in space brought about by the adjustment of population policy have attracted increasing attention.As an outdoor space with high frequency of children,community public space has an important potential value in promoting children’s physical,psychological and social health development,which needs to be further studied and analyzed.Through the optimization and reorganization of urban spatial resources,it has become an important issue to improve the quality and efficiency of urban community public spaces by improving the level of spatial environment supply and creating a more perfect supportive environment for children’s health.The gradual promotion of child-friendly city construction is an active choice made by the state to strengthen the protection of children’s rights and interests,and child-friendly community public space plays an important role in promoting children’s health.From the perspective of health orientation,this paper systematically studies and analyzes the community public space environment,constructs the conceptual framework of child-friendly community public space and explores its spatial optimization path,aiming to strengthen the support of the material environment and release the space vitality to realize the linkage and integration between children and the external environment,enhance the sense of identity and belonging of children,promote the healthy growth of children,and provide theoretical reference for promoting the construction of Chinese-style child-friendly environment.The core research content of this paper mainly includes the following aspects:Firstly,based on the theoretical research of relevant literature,this paper summarized and sorted out the elements of public space in child-friendly communities,disintegrated and analyzed the characteristics of children’s behavioral activities,psychological cognitive characteristics and related influencing factors,and explored the correlation between children’s daily activities and community public space environment.Secondly,this paper investigated and analyzed the community public space in Lixia District,Jinan City by using the methods of field investigation,interview and questionnaire survey,divided the community into two types(single type and mixed type)by comparing the spatial characteristics comprehensively,and explored the common reality dilemma of children’s public space in urban communities through in-depth investigation and analysis of the public space reality and children’s daily activities in the sample community.Third,based on theoretical research and practical support,the study constructed a conceptual framework of health-oriented child-friendly public space,elaborated its concept and spatial construction goals,and summarized three attributes of health-oriented child-friendly community public space:resource friendliness,all-age friendliness,and nature friendliness.Besides,the three attributes were interpreted and analyzed by proposing corresponding spatial scenarios.Fourth,the study proposed specific and universal spatial optimization strategies based on realistic research and theoretical discussions,improved space safety,accessibility,comfort and versatility from the three aspects of connecting space,activity space and area space,strengthen the promoting role of community public space environment in improving children’s activity level,so as to realize the goal of building healthy and friendly community public space,which can guarantee children’s physical and mental health,improve children’s environmental cognition and enhance children’s social adaptability. |
