The scientific and technological revolution and industrial revolution are accelerating,and the international competition led by high-tech industries is further intensifying,which puts forward higher requirements for the core quality of engineering talents in the new era.In order to actively serve the new needs of national strategic development and respond to the new situation of international competition,the Ministry of Education has put forward the’new engineering’ construction,which is a major action plan to continuously deepen the reform of engineering education,and has put forward new requirements for the concept,requirements and ways of engineering talent training.Curriculum is the key factor of talent cultivation,which has the most direct and significant impact on the cultivation of students’core literacy.This research focuses on the construction of ’new engineering’ curriculum,and takes ’research on the curriculum system of new engineering major based on core literacy’ as the topic,focusing on five aspects of core literacy,curriculum objectives,curriculum structure,curriculum content,curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation.By investigating the construction of the ’new engineering’ curriculum system in practice,the curriculum value orientation,curriculum characteristics,and constituent elements of the new engineering specialty should be clarified,and the corresponding relationship between core literacy and curriculum modules can be built,with a view to providing a reference for improving the new engineering talent training mode,and enhancing the social adaptability and international competitiveness of new engineering talents.This study is divided into five parts.The first part,on the basis of literature reading and sorting,taking Bloom’s educational goal taxonomy,Taylor’s principle and OBE concept as the theoretical basis,and referring to previous research on the core literacy and curriculum system of new engineering talents,the research gap can be defined to closely link the core literacy of new engineering talents with the curriculum system of new engineering majors,and construct the corresponding relationship between the core literacy of new engineering talents and the curriculum system.In the second part,the problems existing in the construction of the curriculum system of the new engineering major are preliminarily understood through student questionnaires and teacher interviews,using the method of coordination and verification of theoretical and empirical research.It is found that the implementation of curriculum objectives is considerable at the medium and micro levels,but the cultivation of students’macro cognitive and communication abilities is still insufficient;the new engineering elements of the course content are significant,while the internationalization ability is slightly lacking;the trend of diversification of teaching methods is obvious,and there is still room to improve students’ interests;lack of comprehensive learning across the board,students’ sense of learning motivation is relatively weak.In the third part,through classroom observation of E University,the implementation of core literacy in the construction of the curriculum system of the new engineering major can be further understood and analyzed.The research finds that the current situation of the construction of the new engineering major curriculum is as follows:in terms of integration,there are more intersections with neighboring disciplines,and fewer cross major disciplines;in the aspect of integration,we pay attention to the logic and integrity of the curriculum,but due to the limited class hours,there is still a lack of all-round ability training for students;the project-based curriculum has not yet formed a complete system;there are many challenging contents due to the in-depth and cutting-edge attributes of the courses.In addition,the implementation of core literacy varies greatly among different types of courses.In general,the implementation of core literacy in cognitive field is significant,while the implementation of core literacy in emotional attitude field is weak as a whole;the overall implementation of core literacy in the field of motor skills is good,but there are still deficiencies in leadership training.The fourth part,on the basis of empirical investigation and classroom observation,the paper further conducts case studies on the construction of the curriculum system of new engineering major in ten colleges and universities,analyzes and summarizes the experience and practices of the case colleges and universities in terms of curriculum objectives,curriculum content and structure,and curriculum support conditions,so as to provide reference for the improvement of the curriculum system of new engineering major.Finally,on the basis of defining the principles for the construction of the curriculum system of the new engineering specialty,the paper initially drew the curriculum structure diagram of the new engineering specialty,constructed the matrix relationship between the core literacy of new engineering talents and the curriculum system,and put forward several suggestions for further improving the new engineering curriculum system:the curriculum goal should be further aligned with the training requirements of the core literacy,attention should be paid to both the macro and micro levels,and the combination of learning and application should enable students to calrify their future career direction;the course content should pay attention to comprehensive integration,and should focus on training the quality and ability required by the new engineering discipline;it is necessary to innovate the form of curriculum implementation and improve students’ interest in learning;the curriculum evaluation should form a closed loop with the curriculum objectives,and the students’learning results should be examined in a multidimensional way.
