Research On The Impact Of Digital Transformation On Performance Of Manufacturing Enterprises

With the rapid and penetrating development of information technologies such as big data,cloud computing,5G,AI,and the improvement of Internet penetration,the new generation of information technology permeates the entire cycle of product production,and intelligent manufacturing has become the development direction of China’s manufacturing industry.All industries are seeking transformation under the support of national policies.The digital transformation of enterprises is the process of enterprises’ all-round transformation based on the application of digital technology,aiming at all aspects of enterprise production and operation,and ultimately promoting organizational change.With the advent of the digital era,digital transformation has become an inevitable choice for enterprises to meet the digital wave.The level of equipment manufacturing industry affects the comprehensive national strength and is the core of the national economy.Since the "11th Five-Year Plan",China has become a major equipment manufacturing country in the world.However,affected by external factors such as scarcity of resources and imbalance of industrial structure,the equipment manufacturing industry still faces huge challenges.Xi’an Shaangu Power Co.,Ltd.was established in Xi’an in 1999.The three major business sectors are energy conversion equipment,energy conversion system services and energy infrastructure operation.In 2021,the company realized the company’s intelligent manufacturing strategic layout through product intelligence,process intelligence and service intelligence,provided customers with digital,automatic and intelligent intelligent manufacturing system solutions throughout the life cycle,continuously improved service quality and created value for customers.Seize the opportunity of digital transformation.This paper takes Shaangu Power as the research object,and takes organizational change theory,business process re-engineering and contingency theory as the basic theory.By comprehensively using the literature analysis method,case study method and three-stage DEA analysis,this paper introduces the motivation and transformation process of Shaangu Power’s digital transformation,analyzes the impact mechanism of digital transformation on enterprise performance,and puts forward reasonable suggestions for the problems in the process of digital transformation.The digital transformation results of Shaangu Power are measured by financial indicators and non-financial indicators respectively.Through research,this paper believes that the digital transformation of Shaangu Power is conducive to its current development,and the digital transformation has a positive effect on enterprise performance,with long-term effectiveness.Finally,on the basis of the research conclusion,through the summary,put forward reasonable suggestions for Shaangu Power,hoping to help Shaangu Power improve its comprehensive strength.This paper suggests that Shaangu Power should adhere to the concept of digital transformation for a long time and put this concept into the corporate culture;Strengthen the management of enterprise risks and improve the solvency.Finally,it is suggested that other enterprises should learn from Shaangu Power’s digital transformation experience and consider their own conditions to find a digital transformation plan that conforms to their own characteristics.
