Narrative Study On The Memorial Landscape Of Baoshi Mountain And Gushan Mountain In West Lake Of Hangzhou

Memorial landscape is the direct carrier of people’s memorial emotion materialization,which plays an important role in promoting the construction of spiritual civilization.West Lake in Hangzhou has always been a paradise on earth for people of all walks of life in China.By the beautiful West Lake,there are many monumental landscapes,among which Gem Mountain and Lonely Mountain are the essence of the monumental landscape of West Lake in Hangzhou.Based on the narrative characteristics of memorial landscape,this paper discusses the relationship between memorial landscape and narrative from a multidisciplinary perspective based on the narrative theory,analyzes the narrative techniques of memorial landscape,conducts field research on the memorial landscape of Gem Mountain and Gu Mountain,summarizes the narrative characteristics,and selects typical cases for detailed analysis.Through the narrative analysis of the memorial landscape of Gem Mountain and Gu Mountain of the West Lake in Hangzhou,it provides a new method and a new way to decipher the construction strategy of the memorial landscape of the West Lake in Hangzhou,which is of great significance to the inheritance and protection of the memorial landscape and cultural heritage of the West Lake in Hangzhou,and provides a useful reference for the future memorial landscape design.The research results are as follows:(1)This paper discusses the relationship between memorial landscape and narrative expression in theory,expounds the way of landscape expression of narrative concept,and conducts narrative research on memorial landscape from three aspects: narrative type,narrative design elements and rhetorical expression techniques.The narrative types are reflected from the three aspects of space,time and plant.Among them,the spatial narrative is mainly the opening and the transition,while the time narrative is divided into synchronic narrative and diachronic narrative,and the plant narrative is embodied from the two aspects of plant individual and plant group.Narrative design elements are mainly aimed at the application of various landscape elements in landscape design,such as material,light and shadow,water feature,terrain,shape,etc.Narrative rhetoric is expressed by means of metaphor,white space,exaggeration,symbol,repetition and so on.(2)A field survey was conducted on 75 memorial landscapes of Gem Mountain and Gu Mountain,and 9 memorial landscapes of 7 types were selected as typical research objects in combination with the current situation.The current status of the memorial landscapes of Gem Mountain and Gu Mountain was summarized from three aspects: distribution type,spatial elements and plant configuration:(1)The distribution is more concentrated,divided into 8 types,the number of former residences of celebrities is the largest,there are 21,the number of monuments,towers is the least,there are 4;(2)The layout of spatial elements is reasonable,the central node is prominent,the marker is obvious,the figure is mainly,and the construction is adapted to local conditions;(3)Good at creating a sense of space by planting trees alone,focusing on characteristic plants and rhetorical applications.(3)From five aspects of space,plants,rhetoric,naming and allusion legend,this paper summarizes the narrative techniques of the monumental landscape of Gem Mountain and Gu Mountain.The spatial narrative types include the opening to the point,the beginning,the transition and the beginning,the development and the end.The types of plant narrative include individual narrative and group narrative.The application of rhetoric is mainly composed of metaphor,contrast,analogy and symbol.The naming methods of the three types of memorial landscape,namely the former residence of celebrities,memorial garden and memorial pavilion,are unique,which not only points out the memorial object,but also points out the special significance of the site selection.Allusions and legends combine the historical allusions and legends that happened in Hangzhou,which not only give commemorative significance,but also convey cultural and educational significance.This paper makes a detailed narrative analysis of 9 typical monumental landscapes of7 types,and summarizes the narrative characteristics of 9 typical monumental landscapes from the aspects of space,time,plants,rhetorical applications,allusions and legends,naming methods,etc.
