Study On The Evolution And Renewal Strategy Of Traditional Dwellings In Xiyan Town,Jinnan

Traditional villages inherit the essence of China’s agricultural civilization,and their residential buildings are the carriers of local material civilization and spiritual culture,with great value.However,with the prosperity of the social economy and the integration of regional culture,traditional village dwellings,without the guidance of architects,have experienced phenomena such as breaking away from historical traditions and blindly following the trend of construction in their spontaneous and adaptive evolution.The emergence of these phenomena cannot be simply judged,and it is necessary to deeply explore,summarize and explore the development trends,motivations,and laws of residential evolution,and propose update strategies,Thus achieving the healthy development of traditional villages has great practical significance.Xiyan Town is located in the mountainous area of southern Shanxi,with a large number of traditional villages that are well preserved as a whole.However,it also faces many problems during the construction of residential buildings.This article takes the traditional village houses in Xiyan Town as the research object.Through literature research,field research,typical case studies,and other methods,based on the basic logic of raising,analyzing,and solving problems,it analyzes the general laws of the evolution of traditional village houses and summarizes them to explore architectural renewal strategies.Firstly,starting from the development background of traditional residential architecture in Xiyan Town,this paper sorts out the development mode and process of traditional village houses in Xiyan Town,and analyzes the evolution process of local residential development from a macro perspective,laying the foundation for the following research.Secondly,select typical villages and dwellings to study the evolution process of their courtyards,planes,facades,structures,and materials,explore their evolution trends and motivations,and summarize the evolution laws.Finally,guided by the conclusions drawn from the previous review,this paper proposes the principles and construction strategies for the renewal of traditional village dwellings in Yan Town,and lists practical cases of residential renewal,providing practical and feasible methods for the renewal of traditional residential buildings in the region,as well as providing reference for the development of residential construction in similar areas.
