Research On Traditional Villages In Shicheng Town,Pingshun County,Shanxi Province

Chinese traditional villages are the inheritors of Chinese civilization and the epitome of my country’s historical changes.While social changes have brought convenience to people,they have also caused a certain degree of damage to traditional villages.It is urgent to protect traditional villages in my country.In order to protect traditional villages,we must first conduct a lot of research on them.Only by first understanding the unique historical and artistic value of traditional villages,the profound cultural connotations endowed by architecture,and clarifying and grasping the regional characteristics,can we be able to preserve the historical authenticity.At the same time,find an adaptive path that can make the traditional village develop sustainably.The research on villages in my country originated in the 1930 s,from field investigations to cultural analysis of villages from the perspective of anthropology,to detailed systematic analysis of the formation environment and physical space structure of villages.At this stage,the method and system of using interdisciplinary research on villages have gradually formed at this stage.In my country,the protection of traditional villages has developed since the 1980 s,and new measures and models of protection and utilization with regional characteristics have begun to realize the overall protection and zoning development of traditional villages.The formulation and implementation of the centralized contiguous protection of traditional villages is based on regional traditional village research.The traditional village of Shicheng Town,Pingshun County,located in the South Taihang Mountains,has its unique village environment and architectural form.This paper selects the first five batches of traditional Chinese villages announced by the state in 16 Shicheng Towns as the main research objects.Maintaining the original village and architectural form provides relatively sufficient time for village research and implementation of protection;on the other hand,traditional villages in Pingshun County have started concentrated contiguous protection and development work in 2021,and Shicheng Town is one of the pilots.,research has guiding significance for practice.Through literature research,field investigation,oral interviews and other research methods,this paper mainly focuses on the research on the form of traditional villages and the characteristics of traditional buildings in the villages.And grasp the traditional village style and architectural features that the overall needs to conform to,in order to provide some technical support based on this article when formulating and implementing the centralized contiguous protection of traditional villages.
