Research On The Spatial Pattern Of Traditional Villages In Xiyan Town,Yicheng County,Shanxi Province

Chinese traditional villages are not only important material cultural heritages,but also carriers of intangible cultural heritage.In the rapid process of urbanization,it is disappearing fast.With the proposal of the rural revitalization strategy,traditional villages,as an important part of the countryside,are gradually revitalized and prospered in social development.Xiyan Town is located in the mountainous area at the junction of South Shanxi and Southeast Shanxi.Among the 9 administrative villages,there are 8 Chinese traditional villages,but few people pay attention to them.The spatial pattern is the existence mode of traditional villages.Separate dwellings are not called villages,and scattered dwellings have no texture.Chinese traditional villages built through the "wisdom of the ancients" are more valuable for research and preservation.They are the accumulation of history and time.Based on the characteristics of the spatial pattern of traditional villages as the starting point,this paper studies the town of Xiyan village location and pattern,to cause the traditional village protection workers for the protection of the traditional village spatial pattern and value,to explore the protection mode of traditional village area,intended to be for discipline within the study area scholars provide basic data support of traditional villages.On the basis of literature research,field investigation,statistical analysis and other methods,this study used the geospatial data analysis method to conduct geographical data analysis of the town environment,and used the plane quantification method to carry out the morphological classification of traditional villages.The study is carried out from two aspects: the external location environment and the internal pattern of the village.Firstly,the external site selection study quantifies the factors of village site selection,including the mountain and water data such as the village elevation,river basin,slope aspect,water system discharge,water network distance and so on.On this basis,the correlation analysis of the data of various environmental factors in the village is carried out,and the key points of the selection of environmental factors are obtained.The structure of the internal pattern of villages includes four aspects: the form,structure,node and texture of the pattern.Starting from the four constituent elements,the influencing factors of the internal pattern of villages are explored and summarized.The main contents are as follows:The relationship between the traditional villages and the mountain in Xiyan Town conforms to the general rules of village site selection.The location that is close to the mountain can not only make use of the natural resources of the mountain,but also help to form the microclimate of the village,making the temperature and humidity more comfortable.The drainage environment is particularly important for the construction of the traditional villages in Xiyan Town due to the historical flood disturbance.Therefore,in order to avoid flooding,villages are more inclined to be built on the hillside with less water flow.Moreover,due to the complex terrain of Xiyan Town,it is difficult for villages to choose perfect terrain.Slope is an important factor in village site selection,and the mountain environment and water environment can complement each other.Finally,the village construction is generally not directly adjacent to the water system,and the basic form of the surrounding environment is shown in the form of "hillfield-village-fieldwater-mountain".The elements of the internal pattern of traditional villages are mainly divided into four aspects: boundary form,street and lane structure,spatial node and regional texture.The internal pattern is composed of streets and alleys as series elements,courtyards and public spaces as constituent elements,forming different groups of texture,and jointly forming the existing village form.In the past,the pattern was mainly represented by band-shaped villages restricted by terrain and environment.In the new period,the construction gradually developed to an atypical shape.By studying the components of the village spatial pattern,it can be used to assist the formulation of the restoration strategy of the village spatial pattern,so as to make the restoration of the pattern more clear and the village protection more organic.Taking Buzi Village as an example,this paper analyzes several aspects of the village,from the external site selection environment to the internal streets and spatial nodes,and makes specific strategies for the protection of the village’s spatial pattern.Through the combination of basic research methods and data quantification methods,this paper intends to explore the characteristics of village site selection and self-organizing aggregation methods from a more scientific perspective,hoping to make a modest contribution to the cognition and protection of the spatial pattern of traditional settlements.
