| The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to build and improve as soon as possible a green economic development system in China with green,lowcarbon and circular characteristics.However,as China is gradually forming green production and life-style,the construction industry,a pillar industry of our national economy,has yet to fundamentally reverse its large-scale,high-consumption and high-emission construction methods.For this reason,China has issued a series of opinions and plans to promote the development of a green economy in the construction industry.In addition,there is still a gap between the level of urbanisation in China and that of developed countries,and it is clear that the construction industry in China still has a large space for development in the future.Therefore,It is essencial for achieving green economy development in China to study the evaluation of the green economy performance of the construction industry and to reveal its spatial and temporal evolution patterns as well as its convergence.Based on sustainable development theory,green economy theory and economic convergence theory,this paper defined the green economy of the construction industry,its performance and its performance convergenc e as the starting point,co nstructed a green economy performance evaluation index system for the construction industry,and measured the green economy performance of the construction industry from 2007 to 2019 using the Hybrid DEA model,the entropy value method and the entropy weight TOPSIS method.On this basis,the HP filtering analysis method and spatial autocorrelation analysis were used to analyse the spatiotemporal evolutionary characteristics of green economic performance in the construction industry and to clarify its spatio-temporal variability.And to analyse its spatio-temporal variability.And a convergence,β convergence and club convergence were used to analyse the convergence of green economic performance in the construction industry.The study finds that:(1)the performance,efficiency and effectiveness of the green economy of national construction industry are all fluctuating and are at a low,overall and there is still a large space for development.(2)The green economic performance and efficiency of the national construction industry as a whole are in a state of improvement,while its efficiency is in a state of improvement at the beginning and declines at the end,which indicates that the construction industry should pay more attention to green output.(3)There are obvious regional differences and spatial aggregation in the green economy performance,efficiency and effectiveness of the construction industry nationwide.(4)There is σ conve rgence,β convergence and club convergence in the performance,efficiency and effectiveness of the green economy of national industry,which indicates that the green economy performance of the construction industry is tending to develop towards its own stable level.The findings of this paper help to grasp the evolutionary pattern and characteristics of the green economy performance of China’s construction industry,clarifies th e stages of green economy development in the construction industry,and then provide a decision-making basis for promoting the development of green economy in the construction industry. |
