With the advancement of intelligent manufacturing, the manufacturing industry has put forward higher requirements for skilled talents. As the cradle of the export of skilled talents, secondary vocational schools need to adjust the course teaching content and teaching mode in time according to the requirements of the enterprise,so as to achieve better teaching effects and cultivate talents that are more in line with the requirements of the post.Based on the study of relevant policy documents and hot issues of education reform, combined with the teaching status of "Mechanical Foundation" in secondary vocational education,in view of the problems of students’ unsolid mastery of theoretical knowledge, weak self-learning ability, deep thinking ability and innovation ability in the course of this course,a flipped classroom teaching mode is proposed, and applied in the course of "Mechanical Foundation".The specific steps include: first, through questionnaire surveys and interview methods,we investigated machinery manufacturing enterprises and secondary vocational schools to understand the problems existing in students’ learning in the course;Second, based on the research of predecessors on the flipped classroom teaching model at home and abroad, the flipped classroom teaching model of this course is constructed.Third, according to the characteristics of the flipped classroom teaching model, find out the content in "Mechanical Foundations" that can be flipped classroom teaching. With the goal of improving students’ theoretical knowledge learning ability and comprehensive vocational ability, the course is designed for teaching.Select the chapter "Classification of cam mechanisms" for teaching experiment design and implementation;Fourth, the implementation effect of the curriculum is analyzed from three parts: teaching performance, teaching goal attainment, and student learning experience questionnaire. The final results show that the flipped classroom teaching mode has a good teaching effect when applied to the middle vocational "Mechanical Basics" course, which is more conducive to improving students’ learning enthusiasm,self-learning ability, teamwork ability and innovation ability than the traditional classroom. At the same time, this study also provides reference for other research on flipped classroom teaching.
