The secondary vocational school has always been an important place for the training of professional skilled personnel in the machinery industry in China,and has trained a large number of professional talents for the modernization construction of our country.In order to achieve mechanical students after graduation can seamlessly connect with the enterprise,practical training in school has become an important part of secondary vocational students’ skills training.However,in the process of running a school,there are still many problems in the practical training of mechanical students in secondary vocational schools,how to solve these problems,improving the Comprehensive quality and professional skills of mechanical students in secondary vocational schools,is the current secondary vocational schools need to face the subject.This paper takes Yantai secondary vocational schools as the research object,the current training situation of mechanical students in three secondary vocational schools in Yantai city was investigated by questionnaire survey and interview,by combing the questionnaire and interview records,the problems and causes of the current training of mechanical students in secondary vocational schools in Yantai City are grasped,and the corresponding countermeasures are put forward.This paper first introduces the research background,theoretical and practical significance,domestic and foreign research status,research ideas and methods,definition of related concepts and so on.Next it analyzes the results of the investigation on the present situation of the students of mechanical specialty in three secondary vocational schools in Yantai,it is mainly from the students’ understanding of the practical training in the school,the setting of the practical training course in the school,whether the practical training course in the school pays attention to the students’ professional accomplishment,whether the knowledge and skills learned by the students in the practical training course meet the actual production requirements of the enterprise,and the five dimensions of the evaluation of the students’ practical training effect.After that,it was discussed the problems and causes of practical training for students majoring in machinery in secondary vocational schools,by combing the survey results and interview records,at present,students of mechanical specialty in secondary vocational schools in Yantai lack interest in practical training,the theoretical and practical courses offered by students are not coherent in time and content,students lack professional education during practical training,the skills learned by students do not meet the actual production requirements of the enterprise,unreasonable evaluation of students’ practical training effect;The reasons are that the students choose the major they don’t like,lack the concept of integration of theory and practice,lack of understanding of professional accomplishment,lack of cooperation between school and enterprise,lack of innovation in the evaluation mode,etc.Finally,the improvement strategies for the problems and causes are put forward,such as improving students’ identity to mechanical specialty,establishing multifunctional training room with integration of theory and practice,perfecting teaching content and bringing professional accomplishment into every link of practical training in school,implementing the mode of "dual" education in school and enterprise,and improving the evaluation mechanism of students’ practical training effect.
