The Research On Service Improvement Planning Of Community Canteens For The Elderly In Changsha From The Perspective Of Urban Catalyst

Since China officially entered the aging society in 2000,the proportion of the elderly has increased year by year,while China’s old-age service system has not yet matured.And it is difficult to effectively meet the increasingly div ersified the elderly care demand of the huge silver-haired group.According to a number of survey reports on pension services,the "daily catering needs of the elderly" are in a prominent position among many elderly care needs.It shows that it is imminent solve the problem of the daily catering needs for the elderly.In view of the problem of dining for the elderly,although many cities are actively carrying out the exploration and practice of meal assistance services for the elderly,such as elderly tables,el derly restaurants,canteens for the elderly,community canteens,etc.,there are still many deficiencies such as single service,low service quality,limited site scale,and unreasonable site layout.On the other hand,accompanied by the aging of the population,the society gradually tends to be "atomized" due to the rapid urbanization process in China.The relationship between communities and neighbors is becoming increasingly indifferent,and the network of social relations is broken.Food is the first and foremost sustenance in people’s lives.Not only the elderly have a greater demand for daily diet,but the daily lives of chi ldren,adolescents and adults are inseparable from three meals a day.And the "canteen",as an important space that carries the relationship between people and food,can not only meet the dining needs of the elderly,but also meet the dietary needs of othe r age groups.Therefore,this study takes the "community canteen for the elderly" as the medium,on the basis of giving priority to meeting the needs of the elderly,expands the service function,the length of use and the service population of the canteen.It aims to seek to maximize the potential of the community canteen for the elderly.Furthermore,it also explores the possibility of the canteen in serving the elderly,stimulating the interaction of all-age residents,and reconstructing modern community relations.The paper closely follows the current practice and research dynamics of community canteens for the elderly in China.It finds that the function of community canteens for the elderly can benefit the elderly and other residents,can stimulate multi-age residents to produce intersection activities and can reconstruct dynamic community relations.And its role can be gradually deepened,which is very similar to the utility of "catalyst".Therefore,the urban catalyst theory is introduced.By analyzing the correlation between the connotation and characteristics of the theory and the community elderly canteen,it is found that the community elderly canteen has the potential as an urban catalyst.Therefore,drawing on the role process of urban catalyst theory,according to the three stages of catalyst shaping,catalys t insertion,and continuous and effective play of catalyst utility,the development and improvement of community canteens for the elderly is guided.First of all,guided by the demand of the elderly,a variety of mixed functions are accurately embedded in the canteen.And on the basis of giving priority to meeting the diversified pension needs of the elderly,the service time of the canteen and the service population are expanded,and the catalyst activity of the canteen is maximized.Secondly,according to the travel capacity and effective activity range of the elderly,the accessibility analysis of the community elderly canteen is carried out by using the urban network analysis method and the location-allocation model.And the effective layout location is selected for the canteen catalyst to be placed,which provides a good foundation for the catalyst effect of the community elderly canteen.Finally,from the three aspects of reducing the obstruction of the environment,maintaining the stability of the catalyst reaction environment,and improving the adaptability of the catalyst to the environment,the role of the catalyst in the community canteen is strengthened and continuously guided.Through the urban catalyst theory,the community canteen for the elderly is guided to develop into a service facility with full-function,full-time,all-age characteristics.Thereby it can stimulate the vitality of the community and create a harmonious community relationship of good neighborliness and friendship.
