| There is such a huge challenge to local pension service system with the rapidly aging population.Catering assisting service for the elder in the community,which was becoming the important part of the home-based care services.The purpose of this study is to analyze the current catering assisting service in Guangzhou community elderly canteen through the theory framework of SAPAD,in order to insight user requirement and output design opportunities to reconstruct service system with friendly experience.At the same time,the theory framework of SAPAD is applied to the field of community catering assisting services.After the literature and pre research,this paper selects the scene of voluntary meal delivery with the reasons of less previous research,obvious experience problems and involving multiple stakeholders.So this study focused on the relevant process of voluntary meal delivery.Based on the context study,this paper selects Nonglin street in Yuexiu District as the research object,for the reasons which has obvious aging problem.First,investigating the relevant scene of voluntary meal delivery from the elder,social workers and volunteers,through user interview and participatory observation.Then,author screened out the user’s behaviors related to the voluntary meal delivery service in elderly canteen,and perceive the goals and expectations of the users during the service process.Third,then we used SAPAD theory framework to explore the core requirement of the services,through taking the typical behaviors of three stakeholders to complete the reflection of "behavior-item","behavior-significant" and " significantitem".Total of 13 significant clusters are obtained by clustering different significant layers from three users.With the service process we combined the functional modules of the Syntactic Layer and the 13 significant clusters.Then we obtained 8 core functional modules to restructure voluntary meal delivery service system.In order to get the requirements to guide the service design,we got the experience problems corresponding to the functional modules through user journey experience and service process.Taking social and pragmatic significant as the core driving to reconstruct the relationships of system,balancing the requirement between the elder,social workers and volunteers.Finally,author designed the catering service management platform of the elderly canteen and the voluntary delivery package,which are related to multiple scenes of the voluntary delivery service.Using those creative solution to solve the problems of poor communication among the elderly,social workers and volunteers in the old system,food demand of the elder at home,social workers’ pressure,and unfriendly delivery tools,etc.On the one hand,this research started from the reality users service experience,while completed the user’s demand insight and service experience design through SAPAD theory framework.Research provided more application support for the SAPAD theory framework.On the other hand,this research constructed a UCD(User-Centered Design)community catering service system for the home-based care elder.New system met the needs of the elder at home for food and communication,improved the work efficiency of social workers,and improved the enthusiasm of volunteers to participate in voluntary activities. |
