Abstract/Summary:
Foundry is an industry with both ancient and modern characteristics.It has a long history of 6,000 years and plays a cornerstone role in modern manufacturing.The scale of China’s foundry industry ranks first in the world,but it also shows the characteristics of being large but not strong.Under the background of the raging new crown epidemic and the great changes unseen in a century,the traditional manufacturing model that is common in Chinese foundry enterprises will face the pain of transformation.As a wholly-owned state-owned foundry company,company B also has many problems such as an aging business model,reduced innovation capability,and slow manufacturing response.The decline in competitiveness hinders company B from achieving its strategic goals.Under the background of Wuliangye’s "Second Entrepreneurship" strategy promoted by the digital transformation policy of state-owned enterprises,the research and implementation of digital strategic transformation and upgrading has become the top priority of company B’s "14th Five-Year Plan" strategic plan.This paper conducts in-depth research on strategic management theory and digital transformation theory through literature research method and case analysis method,explores the digital transformation of foundry industry at home and abroad,conducts field research on model factories,and accumulates the theory and practical experience of digital strategic transformation.Through the analysis of company B’s development status and pain points,it is found that there are many problems in the current strategic positioning and strategic implementation measures.If things go on like this,it will face a situation of gradual loss of competitiveness.It analyzes the necessity of digital transformation of company B.Through macro-environmental analysis and porter’s five forces model,it analyzes the external environment and industry competition environment faced by company B.Combined with the analysis of the internal environment,it further sorts out company B’s resources and capabilities for digital transformation.Finally,through SWOT analysis,it analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of company B,as well as the opportunities and risks it faced,and concluded that the SO strategy should be adopted,that is,with the promotion of the digital transformation policy of state-owned enterprises,to strengthen its own advantages and achieve a comprehensive improvement of enterprise competitiveness.Based on the above analysis results,it provides theoretical support for the digital transformation of company B.Company B readjusted its strategic positioning,improved its strategic positioning pattern through digital transformation,and promoted the transformation of its business model from product to customer value.By promoting the transformation and upgrading of the business layer with digital technology,strengthening the ability of strategic implementation to provide effective support for the new strategic positioning,the implementation of digital transformation ideas consists of four aspects: value system reconstruction,digital business operations,building new innovation capabilities,agility and green manufacturing as a strategic implementation safeguard.Comprehensively enhance the market competitiveness of company B and take the road of green and sustainable development.
