In the last ten years since the beginning of the 21 st century,major industrial countries have published new economic development plans and emission reduction standards.The Internet economy and digital technology have developed rapidly,and digitalization has become a mega trend in the market.With the significant changes in customer demand and market environment,more and more traditional enterprises are facing severe challenges in survival and development.DPS is a traditional manufacturer of hydraulic components.After feeling the challenges brought by the external environment and the pressure from internal survival and development,it started a digital transformation,hoping to continue in leading market position.This paper takes DPS digital strategic transformation as the object of special research,through the related literature reading,theoretical analysis,investigation and summary,first analyzes the reasons of DPS digital transformation,and then specifically analyzes how DPS designs the digitization strategy.After summarizing the phased results and the problems in the transformation,and finally provide solutions and suggestions.This article has six chapters.The first chapter is a general introduction,which mainly introduces the background,the significance,the mindset and the research methods.The second chapter is the literature review and theoretical basis,including both domestic and international literature on the digital time,Internet + business impact,strategic transformation,new manufacturing transformation,big data,customer experience economy,long tail effect,contingency theory and strategic competition theory.The third chapter introduces the status and transformation background of DPS.Through the analysis internal and external background environment,dig out the reasons and necessity of digital transformation.The fourth chapter is the design and implementation of the DPS transformation strategy,which fully presents the strategic thinking and strategy implementation process of DPS.The fifth chapter is the evaluation and improvement suggestions for the digital transformation.After summarizing the phased results and problems of the transformation,the paper provides suggestions for further improving for the digital transformation.The sixth chapter is an overall summary.The research on digital transformation made in this paper provides valuable reference for Chinese traditional manufacturing companies and hydraulic related industry companies who want to carry out strategic transformation and direction adjustment.On the other hand,it provides an analysis case for the digital transformation research of traditional company.
