Facing the price reducing of j oint ventures and the developing of new electric brands,traditional automotive enterprises have to seek fast and efficient development mode,it’s necessary to reengineer business process.The essence of business process is information flow,it is helpful for enterprise transformation to reengineer business process from the view of information management.FS Company is a large automotive enterprise in the domestic,its businesses include automotive development,manufacture,sales and service.In order to deal with the increasing competition in the automobile industry,FS Company is actively optimizing the automobile research and development process to shorten the project development cycle and reduce the research and development cost.The business units of FS Company are independent from each other,and the business information is scattered and isolated,its business process is not integrated with its information management strategy.The thesis reviews the current situation of FS Company’s project development information management by utilizing the theory and method of information lifecycle management,and analyzes the root causes of the problems existing in project development information management from the views of information storage,information management and information service,and proposes some improvement strategies including information centralized storage,business process optimization based on information flow and building of information quality evaluation system.These improvement strategies are complementary each other,information centralized storage is the foundation of business process optimization,it helps synchronize information to ensure consistency of information,the optimization of business process must adapt to information storage strategy and coordinate with the enterprise information resource strategy.The adjustment of information storage strategy and optimization of business process are aimed at improving the efficiency of information flow,the premise of improving the efficiency of information flow is to ensure the quality of information,and only high-quality information can bring excellent benefits.In the end,the thesis analyzes the implementing process and effect of the improvement strategy and puts forward the directions of continuous improvement combining with the problems in implementing process.
