With the rapid development of the social economy and the continuous improvement of living standards,people's demand for automobiles has become increasingly urgent,and higher requirements have been placed on the production of automobile products.Especially under the impact of emerging high-tech technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data analysis,a number of Internet auto companies have been derived,which has led to competition in the domestic auto market.This is a great challenge for traditional car manufacturers,and it is forcing the transformation of traditional and extensive automotive manufacturing to information-based lean manufacturing.As one of the six traditional car companies in China,G Company has a very low level of informatization in product development project management,and still adopts EXCEL/paper & manual collection and management to promote the extensive project management.This management model has severely restricted the research and development level of G's automotive products.In the increasingly severe market environment,the future development of G Company seems to be difficult.Therefore,the transformation of G company's automotive R&D project management from manual extensive management to informationized lean management is extremely urgent.This paper first studies the basic theories and methods of automotive R&D project management,and understands the basic structure of the project management information system.Secondly,this paper analyzes the current automobile R&D project management of G Company and finds that due to the lack of effective information project management system of G Company,the progress of automobile R&D project is out of control,the quality management efficiency is low,the rework is too much,the automobile R&D cost is too high and uncontrollable.Severe problems,and combined with the company's own situation,focus on the reasons for the problem.The information project management concept was introduced into the G company's automobile R&D project management system,and a new generation G company's automobile R&D project management information system was constructed from three aspects: schedule,quality and cost.It is proposed to track,monitor and timely warn the whole process of automobile product research and development from the aspects of progress,quality and cost in the process of automobile R&D,so as to greatly improve the informationization level of G company's automobile R&D project management.Finally,combined with the business process of G company's actual automobile R&D,the benefit analysis shows that the new generation G company's automobile R&D project management information system can effectively control the automobile R&D project,which not only improves the management level of G company's automobile R&D project,but also Improve product quality and have reference for other car companies.
